Two companions walking on a Lake Superior beach at dusk with a dog approached a large driftwood pile when the dog reacted and stopped. They saw a large dark upright silhouette on the far side of the pile that bent down, gripped a log as if to climb over, then ducked out of view when a flashlight was aimed at it. The head was seen popping up briefly before they retreated to the parking lot.

He later found a rear leg, front leg, blood and guts indicating something else had torn the deer. The witness and two companions were scouting for deer season by a creek near a cedar swamp when they heard an unfamiliar low growl. After the witness threw stones toward the sound, they saw a dark upright shadow moving at the swamp edge and rocks were thrown back toward them. Hearing further growls and large branches breaking, the group left quickly for their vehicle.

The witness and a trooper responded to a health facility for a report of a possibly suicidal staff member who had reportedly turned his head fully backward with eyes rolled back. The next morning multiple officers fought for many minutes to restrain the same small man, who displayed extraordinary strength, chanted unintelligibly, and turned his head backward with whitened eyes. Medical testing reportedly found no drugs or alcohol, and the man later left the area.

Two young family members went to the barn after dark to check animals and one touched fur in the dark and then saw a tall furry biped with red eyes. The creature followed as they left the barn without harming them. An older relative then confronted it with a shotgun, fired in the air, and it ran into the woods making a noise.

The witness was squirrel hunting in a small farm woodlot on a sunny mid-morning when noisy birds in the underbrush drew attention. At a bend in a lane the witness saw a tall reddish-brown hairy biped standing off the trail about 25 yards away and they stared at each other without moving. After a standoff the creature raked berries from a shrub and ate them while glancing between the shrub and the witness. The witness slowly backed away out of sight, then walked fast and ran from the woodlot.

The witness describes repeated activity over years living near woods in White River Township. On a steep dune path in full moonlight she came face-to-face with a short orange-haired upright creature that growled, then grunted while swinging its arms and walking toward her. She fled to the beach and later learned her young sister had seen the same creature at close range from the side of the path.

The witness was deer hunting alone in a swamp in late November when he heard an unfamiliar loud scream to the north followed by a loud branch breaking. He became uneasy and walked out to his car while watching behind him. Near his car he noticed a broad, roughly 8-foot-tall bipedal form standing about 35 yards away behind dense cover, which he believed had followed him. He left with a handgun ready and avoided hunting the swamp for several years.

Through his scope he saw a distant silhouette moving slowly through a valley about 200 to 250 yards away, which he believed was not a hunter.
