After an argument, the witness drove into mountains outside town to sleep in his car by a creek. While sitting in the car using his phone, he looked up and saw a large hairy biped standing with its back to him in the creek. When he turned on the headlights it dropped instantly and reappeared peering through bushes at the bank, locking eyes briefly before he reversed and fled.

Two companions resting on a high rock overlook watched a large dark biped and a smaller blonde biped moving below in a clear-cut and on a fire road. Over about 20 minutes the figures foraged, interacted closely, and walked erect toward and past the observers before disappearing behind trees. Later the same day the witnesses returned to the spot and reported crushed grass, long stride impressions, and large and small bare footprints.

While camping with family near a ghost town, the group walked back toward camp with their dog. After the dog was sent into brush, yelped, and fled to camp, the nine-year-old [name withheld] saw a tall hair-covered figure standing uphill watching them. The family ran to camp, set up a string-and-can perimeter alarm, then heard growling and rattling around the perimeter before packing up and leaving.

Two companions fishing at a mountain lake got off the trail in thick brush on a very dark stormy night and noticed bright green eyes watching them from well above ground level. The figure with the eyes followed them to the lakeshore and then to their truck, staying in the trees and staring without sound or movement even when they charged toward it yelling. They backed away slowly, freed their stuck truck, and drove home, telling no one for years.
Multiple sightings by northern Idaho family
The witness was waiting with his son and daughter when their dog became agitated and stared uphill. They walked down the road and up toward old stumps where a short yellow-haired individual kept stumps between itself and them. At about eight feet under fallen logs it hissed and swatted at the dog while the daughter ran downhill, and the witness did not crawl under to look closer.

On Halloween night the friend, the witness and the friend's son went into Rock Creek Canyon playing calls. They heard creatures trailing on both sides, humming growling, a large boulder splash in the creek, saw eyeshine of a very tall figure, then found a mature deer with a leg twisted and left quickly.

While biking with her father, the daughter rode ahead, fell off her bike and fled screaming that a black furry thing with upright ears and a massive neck looked at her and came toward her before retreating into bushes when it saw the father. The father saw only black fur and rustling and later called fish and game.

Soon after the first incident, while riding horseback in sparse pasture, the diarist found two 4-5 foot tall owl-like beings with large eyes and sockets. They did not flee; they stepped toward him as he stepped, stared, and seemed to look at each other as if communicating. He circled them on horseback, tried shouting and waving, then rode home for a .22 to shoot around them, but they were gone on return.
