The witness and his wife were driving south on the Richardson Highway on a Sunday morning to get breakfast when a very large furry biped ran across the road in front of them. It crossed in only a few running steps and went into the ditch and timber. The witness described its arms and legs as human-like and its fur as dark possibly with auburn tips, and judged it too large and fast to be a human.

Driving home on Auburn Drive in Fairbanks in July 2009 around 6 p.m., the witness noticed a figure standing by the roadside about 100 yards ahead. The witness stopped at the entry point, later circled via side roads to the school parking lot to look into the woods, but did not see it again.

The witness later estimated its height at over nine feet by measuring a similar tree from memory.

She looked out and saw a very large black figure that appeared well above the bottom of the window. She called her parent terrified and hid until she was picked up. A huge dark being burst from the treeline into deep snow, moved very fast alternating bipedal and quadrupedal motion, then re-entered the woods with the helicopter following.
