They then saw a large black shape rise from a crouched position under a pine before it disappeared as they fled toward a house.

The figure appeared to be waiting to cross toward a nearby lake and did not look at her vehicle. She continued driving without stopping and later returned in daylight but remained in her vehicle.

As they headed back near dark, a rock was thrown across the trail and they heard screaming/whooping sounds and later a low grunt/growl. A creature stepped across the path, stared at them, then darted back into the brush, after which they drove to town and were told hikers had seen it for months.

The witness was driving a truck with his son on a gravel road beside railroad tracks in daylight. A small reddish-brown hair-covered biped leaped across the road in mid-air directly in front of the truck, nearly being hit. It landed in tall grass by the tracks and disappeared without further sound despite a brief wait.

The witness was returning down the canyon after fishing and exploring when a tall, dark, muscular creature crossed the road toward a meadow. It was watched for a few strides with a bent, arm-swinging gait, then seen crossing back at a slower pace as if avoiding an oncoming truck and people in the meadow.
