The witness was spending time with horses in a fenced pasture next to extensive woods when movement in brush near the barn drew attention and the horses ran toward the house. Thinking the partly obscured shape outside the fence might be a horse, the witness walked toward it and then saw a tall upright figure covered in reddish hair that grunted, looked at the witness, then pushed through small trees and brush leaving the area with loud heavy footsteps. The witness ran to the house and told relatives who were inside.

They described a large thick-built figure with coarse hair, a large belly, round head and no neck, and noted a terrible skunk-like odor.
