He reported the creature looking in on him, leaving meat, a headless rabbit and herbs he boiled, then carrying him down the canyon over hours or days until a couple in a converted school bus found him and got him to a hospital.

He saw a tall hairy upper body with one arm peeking from behind a large tree, which then withdrew and vanished. About 100 feet farther the figure stepped fully onto the trail, stood looking at him, then turned back into the woods where the guest later found a small purple beaded bracelet placed on a sapling.

It leaped about 20 feet into a tree over a creek, spun, steadied itself with a hand, and stared at him as he passed with high beams on.
