Low on gas at night, three young men camped in a clearing up a mountainside. While gathering wood by a dry creek bed, the witness saw a bipedal silhouette step behind a tree, assuming a friend. All night they heard substantial branch breaking moving around the clearing. They stayed by the fire until morning.

The mother first thought she saw a person in a ghillie suit, but the father braked and identified it as a skunk ape. While driving south on the interstate in the evening, the witness noticed a softball to basketball sized bluish-white glowing light moving above and along power lines at his speed. It angled off along a branching line, passed over his car, flashed, and disappeared. His car radio went to static for 30-45 seconds.

While driving a side-by-side on a mountain road in Colorado, the witness heard brush rustling and saw a tall lean hair-covered human-like figure step across the road in two strides. The figure glanced at him, appeared to shrug, then continued into the woods. The encounter occurred in broad daylight.

The witness and his wife repeatedly visited a shooting area where they smelled rotting odors and sensed a hostile presence. On a later visit they heard movement in brushy draws around them. One being rushed past the wife and two hair-covered seven-foot beings rushed past the witness, and a blurry photo was taken.

A press account told of a wild man living in a cave or deserted mine who raided farms for calves and sheep despite a cash reward. A hunter entered the cave alone with a knife and fought hand-to-hand for an hour, reporting a towering, long-haired, savage-faced creature with thin bony hands. The hunter escaped crawled out at midnight exhausted after being knocked unconscious.
