Late in the day in dark rainy conditions, they observed a large upright figure from the van and recorded it with a small camcorder. She saw the first one's Neanderthal-like face, while other stopped drivers also watched and reacted.

The witness was home at night with two female relatives when they went to open a sliding glass door for air. Pulling back the curtain, the witness came face to face with a tall gray-white hairy creature bent down with a hand reaching for the door handle. Both screamed, the creature made a horrible groan and ran down the hill toward woods and swamp. Tracks were later seen around the door leading toward the woods.
