They heard a growl, a distant tree fall, and something running around camp that was too fast to pinpoint on thermal, then found X-shaped tree structures without roots. On later visits team members saw a large dark humanoid with a conical head peek from behind a tree, found broken branches, and heard loud peacock-like bird sounds with nothing visible.

She saw a large, very furry animal in a break in the trees beside the road and watched it take several steps moving toward the forest. It appeared to be walking upright on two legs and looked larger than a bear, though darkness prevented seeing other features.

He watched a tall thin hairy figure with an elongated head walk carefully from a ditch toward a neighboring lit farm. The figure then sprinted across a field at remarkable speed, dropped forward onto all fours and entered the bush. The witness concluded it could not have been a human runner.

After a tense standoff the group retrieved the small one and withdrew to the treeline, and the witness left the property at sunrise.

The next evening after dinner the dog fixated on brush by a steep drop, where one camper saw paired eyes at close range that avoided a flashlight, followed by branch breaks and a tall tree-like silhouette that walked from one side of camp to the road and later showed yellow eyeshine. The group packed hurriedly, secured the dog and lights, and drove home the same night feeling watched but not directly threatened.

About 1960, the submitter's husband and two school friends were spending a weekend night inside a relative's cabin when they felt watched and saw a tall hair-covered figure silhouetted by the open refrigerator light. The boys shouted and split up to flee to the car, with the husband reporting something running close behind him that he could hear breathing and smell strongly like moldy skunk. In hindsight he wondered whether the figure was also fleeing and had simply taken the same path.

The figure stood up, and the witness observed it through a rifle scope for about half a minute before it walked away. The witness described the figure as very large with long chestnut-brown hair, a hairless face, and large soft brown eyes.

He struck it squarely with his car at highway speed, feeling a violent impact that was heard by his girlfriend on the phone. After stopping he found no damage to the car and no airbag deployment, but extensive blood on the passenger side, yet no body, blood, hair, or raccoon at the impact site. He also describes a brief dull flash at impact and time seeming to slow.
