Man recalls disturbing two sleeping creatures lying on a road near Redwater
The witness was riding as a passenger while the mother drove to work in the early morning. They came upon two large hairy animals lying on the highway and honked; one rose onto two legs and ran into the woods, while the other first ran on all fours down the road before standing onto two legs and also leaving the road to the west. The witness heard heavy breathing, tried to get out of the moving van to follow but was stopped, and a return to the spot later that day found no trace.

Early one Saturday morning in mid-June 1997, the witness was driving to work when she noticed a reddish-brown figure stooped in the road near an overpass. As she approached, the figure stood upright on two feet, looked at her for a few seconds, then stepped over a guardrail into a wooded area and disappeared.

The witness paused briefly and then turned around and rode away, afraid it might return.

Through the tent screen the witness saw a tall, dark, hair-covered bipedal silhouette standing a short distance away, which stood still briefly before turning and walking away toward a field out of view. The witness was riding horseback with a companion and a dog along a game trail when she noticed a dark figure foraging about 120 yards away. The figure stood upright and sprinted up a steep ridge on two legs while swinging its arms, and the dog chased it out of sight. The witness rode another trail to higher ground but could not follow through the timber, and the dog returned later tired. The companion did not see the creature.

As they walked toward the sound, they heard crashing and saw a large, hunched, hairy human-like figure run past about 10 feet away down the mountainside. They were too shocked and scared in the fading light to follow it.

The witness was fishing in a lake when an eerie scream drew their attention. Turning, they saw a 7-foot-tall hairy figure about 47 yards away. The figure kept watching the witness while walking quickly away into the woods and out of sight.

After dinner the witness walked a friend to her truck in a parking lot when a tall lanky creature with gray skin, sparse black fur, pointy ears and red eyes approached on two legs, then dropped to all fours by the truck. They got in, it leaped onto the hood rocking the truck, then leaped across the lot and over a fence as another truck with friends arrived.

The witness and a friend snuck into a small meadow to hunt elk the evening before season. A cow elk entered followed closely by a bipedal figure that tracked it into the timber without alerting it. The witnesses stayed hidden in fear until well after dark, and a friend later cast a footprint from the meadow.
