The witness was mountain biking with a dog in a management area when they noticed a light-colored figure squatting with its back turned about 50 yards away near a chasm. The figure turned, stood up fairly erect, and disappeared into the woods. The witness rode to the spot but found no tracks, hair, odor, or sign of direction, and the dog did not react.

The witness was waiting just inside a woodline while squirrel hunting when heavy walking approached. A tall white-covered creature with dark skin on the face and hands stood nearby with a hand on a tree and was observed for about 30 seconds. After a brief stare, the witness ran through an open field back to the house.

The witness, elk hunting alone and driving on a forest road, stopped at a T-junction and watched a tall dark figure walking toward him in the road. The figure kept a steady pace, then turned off the road into the trees. The witness estimated it was 8-9 feet tall with broad shoulders and long arms and did not approach to look for tracks.

The witness and two relatives were on the back deck of a condo after a barbecue when a tall figure was seen moving down the slope. The figure glanced toward the group as it walked past and climbed over a wooden fence into a wooded ravine. The group went inside after all seeing the same figure.

Two boys camping on a wooded ridge left their tent in the early morning and noticed a large bipedal shape moving in nearby trees. They watched it stand and observe them from about 30 feet away but could only discern a dark, fur-covered outline in low light. Frightened, they returned to the tent. Around dawn they heard a strange howling from down the ridge that did not sound like a dog or coyote.

After leaving his deer stand at dusk, the witness encountered a tall hair-covered figure standing on the trail about 40 to 50 feet away near a deadfall. The figure sniffed the air, stared at him, then took steps toward him before turning off the trail into the woods. The witness backed away and listened as it walked away without crashing through brush.

The witness was squirrel hunting and scouting for deer signs from the top of a small hill when they saw a large dark bipedal creature about 50 yards below following a fence row. They watched it for about 8-10 seconds before it disappeared. The witness estimated it was at least 6 to 7 feet tall, did not follow it out of fear, and a later return found no traces or tracks because the ground was very hard.

The witness pulled over on a roadside near woods, a creek and a lake for night fishing and stepped a short distance into the woods. He heard heavy footsteps moving through leaves toward him that seemed bipedal and too heavy for a dog, and the sounds paused when he paused and then rushed as he reached his truck. After driving away, he saw a large dark upright figure standing in the road behind him in his rearview mirror.

The witness and a companion were driving at night when a tall greyish bipedal figure ran from one cornfield across the highway into another cornfield about 30 yards ahead of them. It crossed ditches and the road in a few strides with its arms swinging at its sides. They slowed but could see little in the dark, and a next-day search found no sign because the corn on both sides had been harvested that morning.

The witness was looking for rocks in a forested area in the early morning and returned to the parked car to find the windshield wipers flipped outward. The witness then noticed a dark crouched mass at the tree line first taken for a bear. After getting into the car and slamming the door, the witness saw the figure stand about 7-8 feet tall and run away over a rock mound, then drove away.

The witness was returning to his car from a deer blind when he smelled a strong foul odor and heard loud footsteps ahead. He observed a large hairy figure partly obscured by a tree about 35 yards away staring back for a couple minutes. The figure picked up a large object from the ground, threw it toward a tree near the witness, then turned and left. The witness waited briefly before hurrying to his car to leave.

Late at night three people walking on a gravel road smelled a strong foul odor. When they returned to the spot, a tall creature stood up from the roadside ditch, frightening them and causing them to flee. As they ran home they saw deer in a nearby cornfield and heard an extremely loud screeching-howling sound.

Early in the morning on the opening day of hunting season, the witness was on a road when he saw a tall hair-covered figure standing in the road about 100 feet away. The figure stared at him and shook its fists overhead, then disappeared quickly when he glanced away, with tall grass and a berm noted as possible cover. The sun was behind the figure so only a silhouette was seen, and a horrible smell was associated with the encounter.

Two companions on a caribou hunt watched from a ridge with binoculars as a large grey animal on hind legs crossed a distant clearing between spruce trees over about half an hour. They lost sight of it when caribou entered the area and it moved into heavy brush. After the hunt, a bush pilot suggested the description matched the Iliamna region's 'Hairy Man' known to local native people.

The witness was driving home late at night in September 1998 when they noticed an animal in a roadside ditch near a river. Believing at first it was a dog possibly feeding on roadkill, they slowed as it turned, pushed itself up with its arms, and began to stand. They described an ape-like, fur-covered creature with a bare orangutan-like face, broad chest, and very long arms, and continued past without stopping.

The witness was reportedly disposing of dog waste near a ravine behind the residence when a large bipedal animal with black fur was seen walking away quickly. The witness ran back to the house without looking back. The account was submitted by a friend of the witness and later confirmed in a follow-up interview with the witness.

The men described brown body hair, a low forehead, small dark eyes, huge hands, a bulky build and a foul odor, then removed their traps and did not return.

The witness was camping with a companion when he repeatedly heard twigs snapping in the woods at night. Around 3:30 a.m. he shone a flashlight into the woods and saw a 7-foot-tall furry figure about 50 feet away with its back turned. After about a minute and a half the figure crouched defensively, and when the witness returned with a gun it was gone and no footprints were found.

While bird hunting in the woods witness observed " something " dark brown, seven feet tall, running extremely fast through the woods.

While bird hunting with a relative, the witness heard a rustle and then saw a dark brown upright figure about 7 feet tall moving very quickly and silently through ferns and deadfall for about three seconds. The witness first considered a leaping deer as an explanation but later concluded it was not a deer, bear, or human trespasser. The relative heard the initial sound but did not see the figure and reacted with fear after seeing the witness's reaction.
