Train spotters describe night time incident at Folkston Funnel (railroad junction)
Four people were train-spotting and camping by railroad tracks at night when they heard noise in brush across the tracks and saw eyeshine and a large silhouette swaying. They reported a foul odor, cats fleeing, and rocks thrown toward them from the brush direction, with impacts sparking on the tracks. One teen went inside while the remaining witnesses heard chatter and a branch snap south of the first figure, leading the witness to think two creatures were present. The witness then lit the brush and saw a tall bipedal silhouette stand before it disappeared, with no further activity over the next two nights.
Footsteps near Bailey, Colorado (2023)
On a preliminary night walk with the group the witness moved ahead to listen while others stayed behind. He heard twig breaks moving across his front, a group leader later reported a head peeking around a tree on thermal, another participant reported a dark hunched silhouette moving along a ridge, and the group heard chattering from downhill. The sounds stopped when approached and the group returned.
Whistle near Burkeville, Texas (2021)
About a month after the first incident, the witness returned to the family property in the evening to check an area that had been logged. Loud whistles, a laugh-like vocalization, gibberish responses, and a distant silhouette were encountered. The witness shouted threats, fired twice toward sounds and movement, then left the fire burning and drove away.
Chatter in Washington (2016)
The witness arrived before dawn to turkey hunt from a stick blind he had built the prior week. Before daylight he heard mumbling like people talking from in front and to the left. A tall hairy biped then stepped from brush, stood looking north, vocalized, left, returned, and was joined by a shorter female carrying an infant; both then walked west across the meadow and the witness left.

The witness joined a multi-day guided expedition in dense woods. The group found distinct five-toed tracks, heard an owl-call answered oddly, heard a warning-like howl and later chatter, and saw saplings broken at angles. While forward of the group at night the witness used thermal to see a large heat mass between trees that vanished, and shortly after others in the same vicinity were growled at.

The witness was working nights hauling fluid to a containment pond near the weapons range. On one load the witness heard splashes and saw high orange-red eyeshine, then on the next load found a branch placed where the truck backs in. Shining a light revealed two tall black figures with chatter between them, and the witness left quickly.

The guest and coworkers stayed on a small island camp through the fall while building cabins. They experienced stick throwing into the water, repeated disappearance of garlic, probing trails around the cook area, chatter and a roar at night. In daylight the guest viewed a hair-covered creature squatting against a stump through a scope, then found a repeatedly used standing depression overlooking the camp.

While hunting in the late afternoon, the witness heard a loud long whoop followed by chatter apparently responding to distant shooters, then heard it again from farther along the treeline. The witness then saw a bipedal dark figure about 200 yards away walking in pines toward a break, where it stopped and crouched by a brush pile. The witness left without approaching closely and returned the next day, finding no sign but noticing an unusual odor.

The witness and a companion parked after dark in an observation lot and heard chattering and rock-clacking from a hillside, then approaching bipedal footsteps crossing the lot. The witness repositioned the vehicle to shine headlights and glimpsed a large bipedal figure vaulting a barrier and descending an embankment. Afterward the witness found fresh muddy footprints crossing the road and lot on the same path.

The witness was driving slowly while road hunting in a gated clearcut area before dark. A large black figure stood up about 15 feet away on a steep downhill slope, showed agitated movements and cheek puffing, muttered and then screamed before leaving over a stump downhill. About an hour later the witness returned with two companions and all three heard pounding on trees and mumbled vocalizations before leaving.

The witness was picking mushrooms while cattle behind him acted spooked for hours. After hiking to the road at night, a tall hairy biped ran toward him, stopped about 100 feet away breathing heavily, then bounded across the road and brush without an audible landing. The witness then heard chattering sounds surrounding him while walking out.

The witness was bow-hunting deer from a tree stand at dusk when deer ran through the creek below after a scream and thump. After climbing down to investigate, he smelled strong body odor, heard tapping and vocal sounds coming from two directions, and had acorn-like objects thrown at him. He then briefly saw a large dark figure watching him from cover before fleeing the area and never returning.

While hunting elk at dusk, the witness and a companion climbed out of a draw and surprised a tall black hair-covered creature about 30 feet away. The creature made a loud whoof sound as it moved into a small stand of pines, displacing a bough. After the pair backed away, it gave a low guttural growl ending with teeth clicking, frightening them enough to leave.

The witness and a companion spent the day fishing and prospecting near a dam and spillway while feeling watched. As light faded they walked back toward their car, sensing something pacing them unseen and stopping when they stopped. After reaching the dam road in darkness, the witness saw one large dark form and two smaller forms move around the spillway and up a hill, then heard them make repeated guttural, sentence-like sounds in response to a shout before disappearing over the ridge.

The witness and a companion followed noises into woods on private property after seeing large movement in the treeline. After a deep growl and handgun shots, they were confronted at the treeline by two large hairy figures that stomped, rocked, and threw branches. They slowly backed out while keeping the gun pointed, then heard a loud whinny-like shout as they left.

The guest took his children and his daughter's boyfriend to cut firewood. They heard child-like giggling, found stacked wood thrown from the truck and food missing, and saw large footprints. While driving out, a log hit the truck hood and two large dark figures ran down the canyon alongside them.

The witness was deer hunting from an old tree stand on a mountain crest in the morning and dozed off. A strong odor and rustling woke the witness to see a small reddish-brown hair-covered biped below eating discarded fruit. A much larger black hair-covered biped then approached vocalizing, the two interacted and appeared to notice the witness before leaving, and a hunting companion nearby also reported seeing a large upright figure moving fast through trees.
Recollection of a possible nighttime encounter on a four-wheeler near Sullivan
The witness and two companions snuck out on a 4-wheeler into woods behind a house on a snowy night. They noticed a dead-like odor and heard monkey-like chattering, then saw a tall hair-covered biped walk toward them while growling. The group fled on the vehicle and on foot as the animal followed to within arm's reach without touching them, apparently driving them from the area.

A British businesswoman on a work trip to California spent a Saturday afternoon photographing sea otters on a beach south of Carmel. She watched six large hairy bipedal creatures enter the cove, with the largest male pulling seaweed from the water for the females to chew and rub on themselves. When a camera part clattered on rocks the male charged, argued vocally with a female, then screamed, slammed its fists and urinated before the witness blacked out. She later woke bruised near her car with her jacket pulled over her head and reported the incident to hotel staff and police, who told her she had seen bears.

The witness was deer hunting with a parent when the parent fired three shots from a nearby holler. The witness moved to the edge of a field, heard talking-like chattering, then saw two quadrupedal hairy animals burst from brush and run toward the witness. Both the witness and the parent fired at the animals, which moved very quickly across the creek bottom and up the opposite ridge.
