Around Christmas 2014 after returning home about 11pm, the witness's girlfriend heard scraping on the bathroom screen, turned off the light and found herself face to face with a tall black hooded-like figure blocking the window. Next day measurement against the witness indicated about seven and a half feet tall with nothing to stand on.

The responding deputy initially suspected neighbors, moonshiners or a grow operation, but later found a large hand-like dent in the house and an 18-inch footprint in the creek that he cast. The cast was later reported to show dermal ridges and to be considered authentic east of the Mississippi.

He woke to something pulling the door handle and saw a large dog-like head with black fur and an elongated snout breathing on the window. After a spirit medium visited and the brothers commanded the beings away in prayer, activity at the house stopped, and related incidents included a vanishing woman, cloaking, and trail cameras failing when food was taken.
