Backpackers startle a figure with long white/blonde hair watching Boy Scouts at Grandaddy Lake
While backpacking and setting up camp, the witness briefly saw a long-haired, light-colored figure watching a nearby scout camp from marshy vegetation. The figure reportedly ran away on two legs with very long, silent strides toward thicker timber. The witness did not see below its shoulders or check for tracks, and later confirmed no one in the scout camp had matching light hair.
Nightime sighting by a couple along a main highway between South Lake Tahoe and Placerville
A couple driving toward Sacramento on Highway 50 at night saw a tall hairy figure standing in a pullout on the north side of the road. The figure was illuminated by high beams from about 20 to 30 feet away and appeared to be watching traffic. The viewing lasted only a few seconds at highway speed, and both occupants described a very large, thick, dark brown to black figure.

Driving home on Auburn Drive in Fairbanks in July 2009 around 6 p.m., the witness noticed a figure standing by the roadside about 100 yards ahead. As the witness closed to about 50 yards the figure bolted into the woods toward the elementary school, ran away from the road then turned to run parallel to it before disappearing. The witness stopped at the entry point, later circled via side roads to the school parking lot to look into the woods, but did not see it again.

The creature then turned its torso and legs separately and went up an 8-foot vertical road bank in one motion, crashing through timber out of sight.

Early one morning while preparing to leave a campground, a couple noticed a large figure standing outside their trailer's bedroom window peering in. The privacy glass showed only a shadowy chest, head and part of an arm, which the companion photographed. When the witness opened a distant door and turned on a light, the figure was gone but quick footsteps were heard leaving down a gravel road. After sunrise they found large footprint-like impressions in the gravel near the trailer.

In summer 2009 near Deep Creek by Lake Arrowhead, California, the witness reported seeing a very tall figure standing on a large boulder about a mile away. Companions with the witness also saw it but thought it was a person, and the witness remained unsure what was seen. A photo was taken from a great distance but was too blurry to show detail or scale.

The witness was riding a golf cart through wooded property in early afternoon when he noticed a small dark primate-like animal squatting in an old road. After passing it, he reversed and saw it beside the road bending down a small pine branch to peer at him for a few seconds. It then ran into thick brush, appearing to move upright, and the shaken witness did not check for tracks.

A couple traveling separately on a winding mountain road each reported seeing a large hairy biped. The husband reportedly saw it cross the road and head downhill toward the river, while the wife shortly after saw it cross back and climb uphill. They reunited, compared notes, and later found sign where an animal had passed. Both concluded they had seen the same Bigfoot-like animal.

The witness hiked into the national forest in late afternoon to photograph woods and wildlife and waited near a utility clearing. After briefly seeing a juvenile bear emerge and retreat, the witness turned and noticed a large upright human-like shape close by in thick brush. A tree trunk snapped and fell toward the witness, who fled to the car and drove away, later concluding the shape might have been a Sasquatch.

After hearing thumping, the witness saw a tall hairy figure on a hill partially concealed by brush and a boulder looking down. They observed each other for about a minute before the witness fled to the car and drove home with the companions.
