The witness and a companion were finishing a dispersed camping trip and had hiked back to the car on a clear sunny day when the witness looked back at the treeline. About 500 feet away, two jet-black figures were visible near the tops of two adjacent pine trees, first taken for bears. The witness took phone photos and watched for about a minute as the figures stayed mostly still while wiggling and appearing to hug the trunks, then left after the companion grew concerned, later concluding they looked like lean human-like silhouettes rather than bears or humans.

A group camped and hiked a short trail at night to elicit responses. After a child's whoops received an immediate whoop reply nearby, two adults who stayed behind briefly heard something approach closely then step away, seeing nothing with lights. She woke her daughter and both heard movement and smelled a foul odor, later finding the fence top bent and branches broken.

The guest and his wife joined other researchers for an overnight investigation of a private property where the owner reported pounding and odd signs. After finding large footprints and noticing fresh fallen trees and a strong odor during an ATV ride, the group heard bipedal steps near base camp late at night. The guest watched a large upright figure sway between trees through night vision, saw it reappear squatting, then lose it as it moved over a ridge. The next morning the team found trampled vegetation where the figure had stood and noted they had audio of the event.

Two people driving home separately at night each reported seeing a large shadowy figure by the highway slip into the woods about a half-mile from home. They compared notes after arriving home and realized both had seen the same thing, but could provide no details beyond its large size and shadowy appearance. The sighting occurred two days after a bizarre shrieking noise had been heard in the yard.

The witness was riding a four-wheeler on private property to handle trail cameras near dusk. After topping a ridge and shutting off the vehicle, the witness saw a tall hairy biped about 30 feet away running away and knocking over a small tree. The witness heard crashing sounds during the flight and noticed a faint musky smell afterward.
Nighttime sighting from a window by a young woman near Lake Lou Yaeger
The witness was in bed around 2 a.m. when a powerful stench prompted a look out the bedroom window. A partially cut tree about 100 feet away began to topple, and a camera flash revealed a large brown hunched figure about ten feet from the house, possibly with a second figure near the woodline. The figures left into the woods, and the next day the witness found the tree down with the saw bar displaced and many tracks and cracked walnuts nearby.

The witness was trail riding in a remote forest area and became stuck in a mud hole, waiting hours for help. Hearing repeated knocking like something hitting a tree, the witness walked about 300 yards toward the sound and saw a very large hairy biped striking a pine with a stick. After stepping on a stick while backing away, the witness was noticed by the creature, which turned its whole body to look before running away on two legs carrying the stick, moving gracefully and silently.

Late in the evening the witness stepped outside and saw a figure standing in shadow. The figure crossed a lit area in about one and a half steps and entered the woods, with a rotten odor noticed at the time. The witness later described the figure as a tall, muscular, graying-haired figure with long arms.

He looked toward the source and saw a creature kneeling like a person, which then stood, made eye contact for about 30 seconds, and ran through the woods. Two companions were driving at night in a doorless vehicle when they made a wrong turn onto a dead-end road. As they turned around, the passenger alerted the driver to eyeshine behind a large tree caught in the headlights. The driver then saw large eyes about six feet off the ground and a large brown shape behind the tree. Both were frightened and did not get a prolonged look.
Two Boys witness a tree pushed into a river by a human-like being while fishing near Grassy
Two boys were gigging for fish in a shallow river at night when they heard splashing from objects thrown into the water. They shone flashlights across the river and saw an upright human-like creature bring down a dead tree into the river and move in the water. The boys fled to their cabin, and a tree not present the day before was seen in the river the next morning.
Structure or nest in Wisconsin (2012)
While walking a ridge the witness noticed bent saplings and knocked on a tree, receiving clear wood-knock replies from a steep kettle below. A large living oak branch was then twisted toward the witness and ripped off, falling to the kettle bottom. Returning later with two companions, they found fresh twist damage and hand-like bark rubs with strong odor, then a young companion saw a light-colored bipedal figure and all heard a deep growl.
Possible nighttime encounter by a couple camping near Martinsville
A couple camping alone in a state forestry heard large movements around camp all evening. Around 2 a.m. the husband saw a tall hair-covered biped beside their SUV and illuminated it before it ran past him over a gate into the woods. Later both heard knocks and rocks striking their tent for about an hour until a large rock tore the tent roof. Next morning they found partial prints and fresh bark damage before leaving.
Possible vocalization brings attention to a large figure just outside a home near Uriah
Around 1-2 a.m. the witness went to retrieve bags from a car near a carport and heard a snorting grunt. Backlit by a carport light, he saw a large wide shape that vocalized again, circled with him as he retrieved a rifle, then left toward the woods. Next morning he found disturbed ground suggesting large bipedal steps.
Possible nighttime sighting and vocalizations in a backyard near Old Ripley
The witness was in bed late at night when barking dogs prompted them to go outside. They saw a dog run under the porch and something retreat into the woods. After shouting and tossing a small stone into the trees, the witness heard a shriek/howl and the stone was thrown back to land at their feet. The witness ran inside, then returned with a flashlight to find twisted vegetation and snapped branches and noted a foul smell.
