Early one morning while preparing to leave a campground, a couple noticed a large figure standing outside their trailer's bedroom window peering in. The privacy glass showed only a shadowy chest, head and part of an arm, which the companion photographed. When the witness opened a distant door and turned on a light, the figure was gone but quick footsteps were heard leaving down a gravel road. After sunrise they found large footprint-like impressions in the gravel near the trailer.

The witness stepped onto the back porch for fresh air at night and noticed a wet-dog odor, then saw a large brown hairy biped under the yard security light. The creature fled at a fast pace when the witness gasped, swinging its arms as it moved. The next morning the witness and family found large barefoot-like prints with a long stride in the garden.

On Mother's Day 2009 under bright moonlight, the guest's group of five smelled a foul odor and watched a black mass on all fours swaying 60 yards away. It went behind trees and then stood up, showing arms, shoulders and head silhouetted with shoulder sheen before walking gracefully away. Laser measurement later put the distance at 63 yards with 19-inch weathered prints, suggesting about 9.5 feet tall.

The witness and her son were driving at night when the car headlights revealed a large hair-covered creature standing still in the middle of the road. They stopped and watched it for two to three minutes from about 200 feet away while it looked toward the river and never looked at the vehicle. From a sixth-floor hotel balcony before dawn, the witness watched a tall hair-covered biped for five to six minutes at a distance. The being stared, rocked side to side, and repeatedly leaned to pull bark from a large pine tree. Afterward the witness fetched security and later returned in daylight to find fresh bark, deep ground indentations, and possible scat.

The witness was asleep in a tent when rocks struck the tent. He looked out and saw a large hair-covered figure in nearby brush staring at him, then shouted and woke his tent companion. In the morning the group found disturbed brush and stones beside both tents but no footprints, and left instead of staying another night.

Turning, he saw a large but thin, mangy-looking human-like creature moving away 40 to 50 yards distant. As he left, it paralleled him for about a quarter mile, repeatedly stepping toward him then backing away with trembling shoulders and hands, curling its lip and displaying. A week later he returned, found a 14 3/4-inch track showing it had circled him, felt watched, and heard a loud double whistle near the old driveway.

Three people camping overnight near a creek reported prolonged howling in the evening and a close loud scream during the night. Through the night they heard movement around the tents, sticks hitting trees, branches breaking, and had objects disturbed including a tent stake pulled out. They also reported white eyeshine, a pungent odor, a dark figure seen in the treeline after daylight, and footprints and torn branches found in the morning.

A tall hair-covered upright figure stood partly behind the tree, repeatedly peeking out as the light moved, then stepped fully into view facing them before retreating behind the tree and fleeing through the woods. The next morning the witness found two large footprints behind the tree and another unclear print nearby.

A family driving back to their mountain cabin at night rounded a turn and saw a tall, dark-haired biped walking on the roadside. All four family members watched it take several strides on the pavement before it left the shoulder and went down toward a creek without acknowledging them. The parents had glimpsed a similar figure in nearly the same spot the previous night. The next day the family found slide marks and a broken branch near the creek and learned another family had also seen the creature.

The witness was riding a mountain bike alone on a trail northwest of Chelan in the morning. After rounding a bend, the witness saw a tall, dark-brown, long-haired bipedal animal running away through the forest for about 10-15 seconds. The witness stopped and then searched where it crossed, but found no clear tracks on the trail and no hair or broken vegetation.

The morning after a night of knocking sounds at a remote ridge camp, the witness and a companion were driving out on a logging road when a very tall dark figure ran across the road ahead of them and disappeared into the trees. They stopped at the crossing point and searched the uphill slope, where the witness found and videotaped an 18-inch barefoot-like track in moss along with other partial marks, and heard something noisy move away through the forest.

The figure turned and ran uphill through steep brush with remarkable speed and disappeared within seconds. The driver called a relative, returned to the site, spoke with officers there, and later documented the area on video.

Three people walking along a gas pipeline to fish crested a hill and saw a tall shaggy brown creature standing 200-300 feet away. All three watched it for about 20-30 seconds before it ran quickly into the woods off the path. The witness was driving north on Highway 101 north of Willits in daylight when a large hair-covered biped entered the roadway and ran across the lanes in front of the car. The witness braked and then stopped as the animal paused at the road edge about 25 feet away, turned its upper body and stared for about five seconds. The animal then bounded up a steep embankment on all fours and left.

The witness was driving on a mountain road toward a firewood cutting spot when the dog alerted to the left. The witness stopped and saw a tall dark figure look at him while walking behind a large slash pile about 75 yards away near the tree line. The figure did not reappear from the other side, and when the witness drove forward it was gone, apparently having gone into the woods. The witness did not get out to look for tracks.

A grandchild riding a four-wheeler reported encountering a large, long-haired, monkey-like animal on all fours that caused great fright and a call for a parent. The parent rushed over after hearing a scream and saw a tree limb still moving as if just released. The sighting occurred in the evening in a wooded creek area where a noisy group had been riding. The grandchild later said the animal resembled a movie character but with a head bump and was not standing upright.

The witness and a companion stopped while hiking and watched a reddish primate-like figure peeking from behind trees and brush about 100 feet away. The figure watched them for several minutes, moved away, then reappeared to peek briefly several more times over about 15 minutes. During the encounter they also heard movement in ravines on either side.

The witness was awake in a ground-floor bedroom late at night when she heard heavy breathing and something striking the outside wall. A large dark silhouette appeared at the closed bedroom window, swaying as if trying to see inside, and remained for several minutes despite the TV volume being raised. The next morning she and her daughter found large five-toed footprints in snow by the walkway.
