The guest describes traveling with a companion to Northern California to look for footprints and riding out daily from a camp on Bluff Creek. On October 20 they rode up the creek bed and encountered a large muscular creature standing by the water, which the companion filmed while the guest covered him. They followed its scuffs and a partial footprint uphill, later protected tracks for others to see, and noted a strong musky odor.

They saw a large human-like figure running while being chased by dogs and emitting a loud screaming sound. The witness was sleeping in a cabin during a summer camp session when loud nighttime noises caused an uproar. A cabin-mate reportedly looked out and described multiple large, hairy, human-like figures near the water tower and cabins. The next morning the witness saw extensive human-like footprints, a large uprooted tree, and vegetation pulled from the lake. Campers were walked around the perimeter to view the traces and were sent home early.
"Brinson Monster"
In 1966 or 1967, several high school students parked at an abandoned farm in the evening reported seeing a tall light-colored upright animal with red eyes watching them. The story spread through the high school where it became known as the Brinson Monster. The narrator notes people at the time did not connect it to Bigfoot or Sasquatch.

The witness, then a teenager, was riding with his brother and a friend in an old pickup checking irrigation on his father's walnut ranch when they spotted a tall hairy biped moving through the orchard. They chased it by farm roads as it ran uphill diagonally across a 40-acre block, stopped to watch it pass close by, then followed it across more blocks until it crossed a road and disappeared into dense brush on a neighboring property. Afterwards they inspected its long strides in wet ground and decided not to tell his father for fear of losing their irrigation job.
