Family driving a rural two-track have a late day encounter north of Higgins Lake
The witness and two daughters were driving a pickup on a forest two-track in the evening to gather rocks for a fire pit. A tall black-haired biped ran across the trail in front of the vehicle in a forward-leaning run with arms hanging low, followed about 15 feet behind by a large gray wolf. Both continued up the hill on the far side and disappeared, and a next-day search found no tracks because of overnight heavy rain.
Snowmobiler observes a large figure cross the trail behind him near Traverse City
The witness was driving a rented snowmobile with a companion when he turned around in a power line clearing. He saw a very tall, reddish figure moving downhill about 200 yards away for about five seconds, initially mistaking it for a skier but noticing no skis or tracks. The companion did not see the figure, and the witness later concluded it was not human.

A group walking back to a cottage late at night on a dirt road through dense woods heard something large paralleling them. They stopped and watched a very tall, light-colored illuminated figure moving in a small circle near a mailbox, heard a short powerful grunt, and then saw reddish eyes watching from the woods. The eyes retreated deeper, dropped low and disappeared while the group returned to the cottage.
Bird hunter surprises a resting sasquatch near Curtisville
The witness was hunting grouse along a cedar swamp when a strong foul smell led to noticing a hairy animal lying about 30 yards away. The witness struck a tree with a fallen limb, after which the animal stood upright and ran away upright through the woods with loud crashing. The witness then examined a cleared, scraped bedding area by a fallen tree and took unclear phone photos.
Daylight sighting in woods behind high school outside Houghton Lake
A 15-year-old walking home from school through the woods felt uneasy and then saw a dark upright figure standing on the trail ahead near a swamp. The figure watched from behind a tree, then stepped into the trail and disappeared into the swamp after less than a minute, leaving the witness temporarily unable to move. The witness later examined the spot, found no tracks on hard ground, and estimated the being at nearly nine feet tall based on a branch above its head and a roughly five-foot step.

The witness describes repeated activity over years living near woods in White River Township. The witness reports seeing part of a tall hair-covered figure peeking from brush, finding deer carcasses cached high in trees, stacked bone piles and dugout shelters, hearing breathing and strange calls, smelling musk, feeling watched, and being chased at night by a bipedal creature that halted near the road.
