Daytime observation through binoculars while hunting behind a home in Summersville
The witness was hunting deer behind the house and watched a small bear-like creature through binoculars for many minutes. The creature turned and showed a solid black hairless human-like face before disappearing silently when the witness glanced away after hearing rocks falling behind. The witness did not feel threatened and saw no limbs, focusing on the head.
Road crossing sighting by motorist on Hwy 55 north of Seneca Rocks area
The witness was driving south on Route 55 near Seneca Rocks late at night in rain while towing a trailer when he saw a tall hair-covered biped about 20 feet away. He turned around, shined headlights and a flashlight into the woods, then heard movement through brush, vocalizations and wood pounding for several minutes before silence. He returned the next day, found apparent footprints, and photographed them.

Four teenagers left a church after an evening rehearsal to go for a walk along a road lined with pines. One who hid behind the trees encountered a tall hairy figure at very close range pulling back a branch, then fled screaming. Another teen then watched the tall muscular figure emerge from the trees, cross the road, and walk up a hillside while turning its upper body to glance back.
