On the return, two team members scanned behind them with thermal and captured a large heat signature behind a tree plus a smaller signature nearby. The dog in the vehicle reacted by whimpering and fixating on the woods.

Shortly after, a loud impact sounding like a stone hitting the metal guardrail was heard by both, followed by a second strike as she re-entered the vehicle.

The witness and four companions were pausing in a hay field during a target-practice outing when the witness spotted a large dark figure rising from a blackberry patch. The figure walked across a trail, paused by a fir tree and looked toward the group, then continued into an adjacent field. The group went to the spot, found flattened brush and a bent-grass trail, estimated the figure's height against the tree, took photos, and then heard knocking beats and hooting sounds after birds flushed and dogs barked in the distance.

After watching eye movements and a dark shape, the witness fled to camp, returned with a companion, and saw the same eyes approaching on another road while the companion saw nothing. The pair searched by vehicle without finding it, and a later site visit involved re-creation measurements.

The witness claims a family group has visited a rural wooded property regularly for nearly two years, typically evenings to early mornings several times a week. Reported activity includes footprints, wood knocks, odors, vocalizations, trail and structure formation, and direct sightings with food exchange and close interactions. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.

The witness was hiking on a logging road after riding a bike when they heard a branch snap, brush crashing, and a loud strike like wood on wood. A rock was then thrown from bushes, and the witness saw a hand and a muscular, dark brown, approximately 6-foot figure facing away with a V-shaped tuft of hair on top. The witness shouted at the figure, which remained still facing away, then left the area the way they came.

The witness was driving a mail route in the morning when he saw an upright figure in the road ahead. As he drove closer the figure walked upright off the road into brush beside a stump, where he took a cell phone photo. He estimated the figure at about seven to eight feet tall, very dark with several-inch-long hair, and said it did not resemble local wildlife he knows well.

A couple drove into an old rock quarry at dusk and saw a large gray human-shaped figure standing in front of their car. They watched it quickly climb a steep gravel slope on all fours, stand bipedally at the top, and walk into the woods. Later that night a sheriff's spotlight illuminated the same figure at the woods edge before it left, and the couple packed up and departed.

The son photographed it with a cellphone as it traveled parallel to the road, paused to look at them, then crossed the narrow road in two steps and vanished into dense brush.
