Three youths hunting squirrels with slingshots encountered a tall, dark-haired human-like animal about 15-20 yards away and watched it for about two minutes. The animal shifted position and made a cough-like vocalization, after which the youths fled to a camper. They returned the next morning with a relative and found only smashed vegetation where it had stood.

The group hid in their tent while something raided their food bag hung in a tree and ate their snacks. The witness peeked out and watched a large hairy biped squatting nearby eating bean dip before it stood and walked away up the trail. At dawn they found the food cache torn down and learned another nearby camp had also been raided.

The witness was driving north on US-17 near Holly Ridge around 1 a.m. after a day trip when headlights illuminated a large hairy bipedal figure walking south on the shoulder. The witness slowed to near walking speed and observed the upper body and face clearly for about fifteen seconds as it continued forward without reacting to the car. After passing, the witness stopped, looked back in the brake lights, and woke a companion who also looked but thought it was a bear.

As they passed within feet in a car with a sunroof, the witness looked up to see red eyes looking down into the car. They agreed they had seen it but kept quiet, and a next-morning check found only mashed grass.

Around 3 a.m. on a cold clear night during Christmas season, the witness got up for a drink and looked out the back-door window toward a lit road. He watched a tall, hairy, upright figure with long arms climb a steep bank, grip a bridge rail, cross the two-lane road in one stride, and disappear down the opposite bank. The observation lasted about five seconds under a street light.

While hunting at dawn in the Nestor Peak area in fall 1982, the witness watched a smaller hairy biped notice him, scream and crouch to hide. A much larger similar animal then approached, touched the smaller one, and stared at the witness while breathing heavily, before the two walked uphill. A third slightly smaller animal joined them at the ridgetop and all three disappeared over the hill into the canyon.

The witness, then about 11, went with his father to a surveyor's home in deep East Texas and followed the surveyor's young son down a thin trail behind the house to a deadfall. The son gave whooping calls, after which the witness heard approaching footsteps, heavy breathing like a horse, a deep word-like vocalization and a powerful percussive sound, then breaking limbs. The witness fled back to the house as a tall dark figure ran alongside through the brush, stopping when he screamed for his father.

When bright headlights were turned on they reported seeing a huge standing figure that turned and walked away, prompting them to flee in reverse. The witness, then a child sleeping in a cabin, claims to have been awakened around 2 a.m. by a deep sneeze-like sound and a strong foul odor. A very large monkey-like head peered into the bedroom window, blocking the light, with huge eyes, a large flat nose, little facial hair and deep nasal breathing. The witness whimpered, the mother entered and the figure left; in the morning plowed vegetation and footprints were reportedly seen.

The witness and a companion were driving to work in the early morning when they saw an animal squatting by the road near dumped garbage. They watched it in the headlights as it moved backward into the road, looked at them, then squatted and leaped off the road into a ravine. A torn bag of garbage was found where it had been kneeling.

The witness was fishing on the north bank of a river when a dog on the south bank barked at brush and confronted an upright, hair-covered animal. The animal knocked the dog down, emitted a ticking sound and a musky odor, then walked into the woods where the witness lost sight of it while wearing waders. The witness later found the dog with blood on it and reported seeing a taped-off police search at the site.

The witness was home watching a baseball game when a strange noise from the back porch prompted investigation with a pistol. The witness reported seeing a large dark upright shadow-like figure running toward the woods, firing shots, then seeing it again near an old stable and firing again without hitting it. Afterwards the witness found a porch freezer broken into with frozen food scattered, plus white hairs and ground impressions.

Three college students walked back to their dorms along railway tracks at night after buying snacks. Ahead of them a dark shape crossed the tracks and briefly blocked a distant streetlight. A short distance later they smelled a strong wet-dog odor and the reporter saw a tall creature at close range with shining eyes. The group fled to their dorm, later drove back for another look without approaching closely, and the reporter retrieved dropped groceries the next day.
A Young Man, While Camping with 20 Others, Comes Face-to-face with Creature
At a youth camp at night, the witness was inside a dorm getting ready for bed when campers in another dorm shouted about someone outside. Minutes later the witness watched a figure near a dumpster walk toward the dorm and peer in through a window from about 12 feet away for 20 to 30 seconds before disappearing. The next morning a discarded box was found on the ground with large footprints nearby.
Large Bipedal Animal Seen Crossing Rural Road and Climbing Cutbank
In early-morning darkness and light rain the witness was driving a paper route near Arago when a large reddish-brown long-haired animal crossed the road and scaled a steep grassy roadcut within about 15 feet of the truck. The animal moved very fast with rear legs set wide apart and spine not flexing like a bear, using its front limbs hand-over-hand, showing broad shoulders, a flat-profile face and a part in the wet hair along its spine. It reached the top in seconds and went out of sight.
UFO sighting in Virginia (1980)
A farm resident reported waking to three softball-sized colored orbs hovering in line at the foot of her bed, moving in formation down a hallway and into a dining room before disappearing. Next morning she found three circular discolored spots on a window screen. A team radiochemist analysis reportedly found high irradiation and neutron flux effects, and she later reported flu-like illness and porous hip bone described as radiation-like.

In the early afternoon the witness was about to enter brush ringing a stream inlet when a very tall, hair-covered human-like figure came within about 20 feet at a slow walk. The witness described its size, hair, facial features and muscular build, noting it was defensive but not threatening and made no sound. The witness withdrew to a truck without being followed, and also noted a very large track, sand mounds, possible vomit and scat, and bark damage in the same area.

When headlights were turned on they saw a large dark hairy figure with a cone-shaped head and green eyes that moved its head and made grunting sounds. After difficulty starting the car, they heard a loud prolonged roar and saw the figure still there as they drove away.

The witness was fishing alone at a pond in the evening when the birds went silent and he felt watched. He saw a large dark hairy biped step from cedars to a fence about 60 yards away and watch him from beside a tree. He fled leaving his gear, and returned the next morning to find the tackle disturbed and the stringer of fish gone except for one fish head.
