Forestry and law-enforcement visitors reportedly told the father to stop shooting, and timber workers and well drillers also encountered the animals.

He heard impacts on a metal container, then saw a dark upright figure by the trees that crept toward him as rocks were thrown. He fled to his car, struggled to open a locked gate, then faced a much larger red-eyed figure that snapped a branch, vocalized loudly, and bluff-charged. He escaped in his car with damage to the vehicle.

A boy riding a bike home in the evening felt watched and saw a gorilla-like figure close behind him. The figure grabbed the bike, threw the rider over the handlebars, stared and flexed its lips to show teeth, then the rider fled and called authorities. Authorities later found the bike with a bent frame placed high in a tree with a small amount of blood on it.

A paramedic and his partner got a flat tire on a rural wooded road in East Texas in the early morning after dropping off a patient. While working on the tire they heard approaching bipedal footsteps and a loud scream, then a rock and a log were thrown at the ambulance. The witness saw a large hairy humanoid with red eyes standing nearby making threatening displays, then it struck the ambulance hard enough to rock it. They stayed inside while multiple creatures vocalized around them until a supervisor arrived about 45 minutes later.
