Two elk hunters & tall bipedal creature startle each other at Chalk Creek east of Coalville
While hunting elk at dusk, the witness and a companion climbed out of a draw and surprised a tall black hair-covered creature about 30 feet away. The creature made a loud whoof sound as it moved into a small stand of pines, displacing a bough. After the pair backed away, it gave a low guttural growl ending with teeth clicking, frightening them enough to leave.
Possible late night sighting by camper near the UT/WY border
While camping with family the witness slept in a companion's vehicle because of cold and snow. Between 11pm and 2am he awoke feeling watched and saw an upright figure cross the meadow in front of the vehicle heading north. The figure was estimated at 6.5 to 7 feet tall and was visible for a few seconds at 75 to 100 yards before walking into the woods.
Boy scouts see a tall creature walking fluidly while hiking at night
Three camp counselors were walking a trail at night when the narrator saw a tall, dark bipedal figure moving across a slope on the far side of a stream about 50-60 ft away. The figure passed near the group without answering their shouts, and a companion heard a rock-clacking stepping sound as it moved toward the stream ahead of them. The frightened group retreated to trees, waited until about 1 a.m., then continued out armed with sticks, finding no tracks afterward.
