Teen looking out his back window spots a figure behind a tree south of Rockmart
The witness was making dinner in the kitchen and looking out the back window toward the woods when he noticed a large black figure crouched behind a tree. He saw a long hairy arm and a foot protruding from behind the tree and judged it too large to be a man. He ran to alert his father, but the figure was gone by the time his father reached the window. A later search found no tracks or impressions.

The witness was driving at night with her son when headlights revealed a large hairy figure by the road. The figure stood on two legs, carried a white object in its hand, and walked then ran on two legs in the direction of travel before leaving the lights into the woods. The witness returned the next day and noted the escape route was uphill and a chicken coop was nearby.
Nighttime sighting by motorists on Hwy 101 near Hannah Swamp
The witness and a companion were driving home from church at night on Highway 101 when they noticed movement on the right side of the road. They slowed thinking it was a deer, but the animal stood on two legs and crossed the road. They described a very large, wide, hair-covered creature that moved easily and quickly disappeared.
Nighttime sighting by motorists outside Hiram
A family driving in the evening on Austin Bridge Road toward Ridge Road encountered a tall animal standing in the road near Mein Mitchell Road. The animal was described as about 9 to 10 feet tall with a bear-like, barrel-chested body standing upright, dark hair, and a wolf-like face with red glowing eyes. After watching for about two minutes from about 200 yards away, the driver turned the vehicle around and took a different route.

The witness was spending time with horses in a fenced pasture next to extensive woods when movement in brush near the barn drew attention and the horses ran toward the house. Thinking the partly obscured shape outside the fence might be a horse, the witness walked toward it and then saw a tall upright figure covered in reddish hair that grunted, looked at the witness, then pushed through small trees and brush leaving the area with loud heavy footsteps. The witness ran to the house and told relatives who were inside.
