The witness was walking back from a boat launch in the evening when rustling sounds drew attention to the treeline. Looking into the trees, the witness saw a large dark-brown figure crouched behind brush about 50 to 60 yards away. Thinking it could be a bear, the witness backed away and left the woods quickly, then saw a very large animal running through the woods.

The witness was pausing on a bike ride on a forest road while waiting for a young relative riding behind. Something dark with a reddish tone emerged from the woods, crossed the road in a step and a leap, then hopped a fence and disappeared. The witness estimated it as much taller than the witness.

The witness was driving home from work on a secluded dirt back road on a sunny summer afternoon. From the car she saw a huge dark upright figure running bipedally through thick swamp beside the road, with a very thick upper torso and swinging arms, moving faster than a person or bear could. She heard a loud branch crack, glanced at the road, and when she looked back the figure was gone, so she continued home fearing another encounter.
