Man hears multiple moans and sees a gray creature outside of Bloomington
The witness and a companion arrived at a house at night and heard repeated loud moans. After the witness called back, nearby trees shook and dogs barked in succession. A grayish two-legged figure then ran quickly across a field with long strides and dropped behind vegetation. Shortly after, metal clanking was heard and lawn furniture was found displaced.
Two sisters observe creature cross the road
Two sisters driving home around 2 a.m. reported a very hairy bipedal creature walking in front of their Honda and touching the front of the vehicle. The creature looked directly at them and continued walking slowly with a sideways gait described as limping or injured, showing no fear. The witness estimated its height at about 5 foot 4.
Man recalls his observation of a creature crossing a road while hunting in the Morgan-Monroe State Forest
On the last day of deer season in November 1988 at dusk, the witness was in a parked car after hunting when a dark brown, husky, six-foot figure emerged from brush and walked quickly across the road without acknowledging the witness. The figure continued into woods down a steep hill and disappeared. The witness searched on foot with a flashlight and then by car, finding no other people or vehicles, and found no tracks when returning the next day.
Three fishermen watched by "something"
In 1982 three companions were fishing along a river when they noticed an absence of birds and wildlife and a feeling of being watched. They then observed a figure watching them from a wooded ridge 50 to 75 yards away for about 45 minutes. When they left, the figure followed them at a distance as they walked about a mile back to the truck, during which they also noticed a faint dead-like smell.
Daytime Sighting by Caver West of Lake Monroe
The witness was waiting above ground while two companions explored a pit, sitting reading in a jeep in a grassy clearing. He noticed a dark form moving in the treeline and called out, thinking it was the landowner, then moved to a power-line opening for a clearer view. The figure paused and stared for about 10 seconds, appearing as a 6-7 foot tall biped covered in long dark brown fur/hair, before walking away into the trees.
