Screaming and eyeshine witnessed by hunter in the Big Hole Mountains
The witness was riding horseback at night near a creek confluence when a loud raspy scream was heard repeatedly from about 40 yards away in the creek. A second animal to the east answered with a loud whistle and rapid grunts. After turning on lights the witness saw eyeshine from the creek, lost it, then later saw two pairs of eyes on the far bank that turned and moved away.

Man recalls incident as a child in a swampy area near Cazenovia
When the witness was a young child, the witness and a companion were chopping a rotted fallen tree with hammers far out in a swamp. After hearing a loud noise described as like a scream, they saw a very large dark man-like form walking very near them. Both children dropped everything and ran home without looking back.
