The witness was driving with a passenger toward a campsite in the evening when a small rock flew from the treeline and struck the hood near the windshield. The driver saw only the rock in flight, while the passenger reported seeing a large dark crouched figure at the treeline just before impact. Both occupants interpreted the rock as deliberately thrown and later photographed a small paint chip at the impact point.

The witness and the witness's wife were driving west on Upper Hoh Road after visiting the Hoh Rain Forest. Near the Hoh River they watched a tall, dark-haired biped emerge from woods on the north side, cross the road in three strides, and disappear into woods on the south side. They stopped at the crossing spot and noted dense forest with no trail.

The witness was driving west for work when, after cresting a hill, the witness saw in the rear-view mirror a reddish-brown hair-covered creature cross the highway from south to north. The creature walked without hurry with long strides and showed no interest in the vehicles. The witness stopped, turned around and searched the crossing area but saw nothing further.
Boys are chased on way home from bow hunting
The witness and a relative were bowhunting for deer in the evening and started hiking downhill toward home after feeling watched. After hearing a loud crash in brush, they ran about half a mile while hearing something running behind them. They crossed a pasture gate, stopped, and watched a large hairy bipedal figure by the gate for about 30 seconds before it turned and walked away.

The witness was picking brush for sale near an old skid road when he heard loud growls, squeals, and brush breaking. He climbed a side hill and saw a still dark bear draped over a vine maple, then noticed a very large dark-brown biped standing about 50 feet away with its back turned. The creature turned and stared with red glowing eyes, prompting the witness to flee to his truck screaming, after which he refused to return to the woods and his crew left the area.

In dim lantern light they saw two huge figures standing on a ledge across the uncrossable river, swaying, with glowing greenish eyes. They shouted at the figures, another rock was thrown near them downstream, and they fled on foot to their vehicle.

The witness was walking back to his camper after hunting when he heard heavy footsteps and waited on the road. An upright bear-like figure appeared in an opening, faced him and froze for a few seconds before turning and leaving silently. In the summer of 1979 or 1980, the witness was fly fishing at a lake near Mt. Jupiter while camping with a companion. He noticed in peripheral vision a reddish-brown figure moving around a recently vacated campsite and then striding rapidly into the woods. He realized afterward the stride and arm swing seemed unusual and compared it to the Patterson film he had seen earlier. He and his companion later checked the rocky campsite but found no tracks.

The witness was riding as a passenger on a late-night drive between Forks and Kalaloch when she noticed a small upright figure standing on the right shoulder. As the car passed very close, she looked directly at its face for a few seconds while it stood still with its arms moving in front of its face. A companion who was driving did not see it. She later came to believe it was a young Sasquatch and stated it was not any known regional animal.

He noticed the jagged horizon looked smooth and swaying, realized it was the silhouette of a large standing animal at the foot of his sleeping bag, smelled a skunk-cabbage odor, hid under his bag, and later found it gone. Around the same time other children by a rock overhang shouted about seeing a big gorilla-like figure moving and walking away, which the adults dismissed.
