The witness and a companion were training a hunting dog at night when the dog became spooked and refused to enter the woods. They then heard a loud deep shriek from nearby and saw the outline of a huge hairy figure at least seven feet tall walk through a clearing.

The witness, a camp volunteer, followed two campers about 60 yards down a dark trail away from the campsite. A tall slim figure crossed the path about 10 feet beyond the nearest camper. One camper on the ground claimed to see it again moments later, while the other camper beside the witness saw nothing, and a next-day search found no signs.

The witness and a companion were riding a four-wheeler through a swampy forest off abandoned tracks at dusk. The witness first noticed a black flash in the woods, then heard whistling and rustling behind them while riding slowly. Looking back, the witness perceived a large black bulk pursuing them and saw two yellow glowing eyes. The companion reportedly saw nothing, and the witness did not mention it at the time to avoid alarming the companion.

Five companions were camping in a ravine and staging a b-b gun war when they heard loud movement approaching through the woods. They shone lights toward the sound and saw very large green glowing eyes, then fled to the highway. From a ditch they looked back and saw an enormous upright outline with arms hanging past its knees before running away.

The witness was exploring woods near the house in the early evening. From a sand pit, the witness watched a large black figure about 50 to 75 yards away for about five minutes as it tore limbs and pushed over rotted trees. Frightened by its size and strength, the witness ran to the parents' house and avoided the woods for six months.

One evening around dusk the witness sat locked out on the front porch of the parents' wooded house. A very large hair-covered biped approached to about 40-50 yards, paused and stared with glowing red eyes for about half a minute, then ran away rapidly breaking branches. The next morning large footprints were found in wet driveway dirt but were washed away by rain before they could be photographed.

As children playing in the creek behind a relative's house, the witness and a younger cousin saw a tall dark hairy form peek from behind a tree. Both children ran up the hill into the house and reported a very large being bigger than an adult relative. An adult suggested it was a deer and kept them inside.
