A group of about ten young campers spent Memorial weekend at a secluded forest clearing. After earlier strange sounds and a brief sighting, one camper encountered a tall bipedal figure near the camp bathroom area and alerted the group. Several campers armed themselves, moved children into a vehicle, fired warning shots, and pursued the figure toward a nearby friends camp where they reported being circled by three tall dark-furred bipeds. The following mornings the group reported handprints on vehicles, footprints, nests, and broken-tree crosses and teepee structures around both camps.

The witness was riding on a motorcycle with her husband when she noticed a tall, hair-covered figure standing motionless beside the road. She observed its side view clearly as they passed at 40-45 mph, noting its muscular build, reddish-brown body hair, and grey-white face. When they returned about 20 minutes later, the figure was gone.

The witness was riding an ATV uphill with a young relative when a loud thumping sound prompted a look behind. The witness saw a very tall, hairy, human-like creature chasing them while carrying a small log. The witness accelerated into and across a grass field, and as they were leaving the field the creature threw the log toward them but missed. The log was gone when the witness returned the next day.

The witness was riding as a passenger with a relative driving early in the morning past a field bordered by pine forest. Both occupants noticed a large brown hairy figure seated with its back to the road facing the treeline, and slowed to about 45 mph while passing without stopping. The figure remained stationary and was described as broad-shouldered with a pointed conical head, no distinct neck, and very long arms with hands beside the body.

Two relatives were at a tree house in the evening when one noticed squawking birds, a shaking tree, and a long tail. After regrouping in the tree house, they fled toward a vehicle when a creature reportedly jumped from the tree and ran toward them. They reached the house highly frightened and later refused to return alone.

By moonlight through a curtained window, the witness saw a tall shadowy figure with a large head and broad shoulders moving slowly past. The next morning the witness found a single very large footprint in dirt and grass on the otherwise clean porch where the figure had passed.

A deputy sheriff driving north on U.S. 95 well after dark en route to an accident scene saw a large hairy biped cross the road in front of his car. The animal came up one embankment, crossed in a few seconds, went up the steep opposite bank and disappeared into brush. The deputy described dark fur, upright walking, broad build, and eyes reflecting headlights.

Late at night in 1982, a driver and a passenger were traveling on a wooded highway when the driver braked suddenly. The driver said a tall, dark, hairy biped was striding across the road in the headlights about 75 feet away and continued on. The passenger had been asleep and did not see it, being awakened by the braking and shout.

The witness and a companion were driving home late at night when an animal stepped over a roadside fence and crossed the road in front of them. The animal stopped in an open field and looked back while the witness stopped the car and both occupants watched it from about 150 feet away for an extended time. They noted its tall height, hair covering, and red eyes before the witness drove away.

Late at night in December, the witness's wife reported seeing glowing eyes looking through a back window while the family watched TV. Moments later their son stepped onto the front porch and reported seeing a tall, dark, long-haired figure peeking from behind the garage.
