Possible daytime sighting by boaters and day prior by morning walker between Perth and Westport
Two companions were slowly drifting down a river while fishing after a morning derby. They noticed canoeists coming upstream and a large dark upright figure on shore apparently watching the canoe. The figure rose from a crouch, turned away and walked fluidly over a bank into dense boggy brush where the witnesses felt no person could travel.
Possible sighting by two brothers in the Dunrobin area west of Ottowa
In 1984, the witness and a relative were driving slowly on a dirt road west of Ottawa at night to find a spot to set up a telescope. After the relative reported feeling uneasy and shouted, the witness saw a tall, dark, hairy primate-like figure approaching the vehicle. The witness panicked and reversed away at high speed for about a mile.

The witness and a relative were walking home after skating when the witness noticed movement and a large brown shape in the bushes at a distance. Near a path fork, the witness found a very large human-like footprint in snow that appeared to lead toward where the shape had been seen. Frightened, the two ran home and never discussed the incident.

The witness woke in bed at night and saw a large silhouetted figure with wide shoulders looking through a high bedroom window for about five minutes. The figure appeared to watch and breathe loudly, moving slightly when the witness moved, then turned and left. The witness ran to a parent, who went outside, saw nothing but noticed a strong smell. By morning two pet rabbits kept outside were gone, with no damage to the cage.
