The witness spent the night in a truck at the end of a logging road after light snow and watched the road in the morning. A large black figure appeared about 1000 feet away, stood motionless for one to several hours scanning the valley, then took a large step off the road down a steep slope. The witness walked to the spot, found no tracks in the snow, concluded it was not a man, and left the area.

Two companions were pushing their bicycles up a steep driveway at night after visiting a neighbor. A large silhouette crossed the driveway entrance twice, then stopped at the top, looked at them and gave a short grunt. In 1982 three companions were fishing along a river when they noticed an absence of birds and wildlife and a feeling of being watched. They then observed a figure watching them from a wooded ridge 50 to 75 yards away for about 45 minutes. When they left, the figure followed them at a distance as they walked about a mile back to the truck, during which they also noticed a faint dead-like smell.

The witness and about twenty other campers were sleeping on a beach during an overnight canoe trip to an island. After dark, rocks were repeatedly thrown hard and accurately at the group, continuing through the night until dawn and frightening many campers. The witness and a companion briefly saw a fleeting human-like figure running along the treeline toward the group before rejoining the others and sheltering behind driftwood.

They shouted at the figures, another rock was thrown near them downstream, and they fled on foot to their vehicle.

A relative said a tall, hairy figure had loomed over the shelter and then fled into the woods with loud crashing sounds. They ran back to the companion's house, and the witness returned the next day to find large human-like footprints in lime dust.

The witness was walking alone in thick woods carrying a BB gun late in the morning. The witness noticed a brown-colored subject moving very fast at an angle across the view, first thinking it was a person on a dirt bike. The witness then realized there was no engine noise, only the sound of breaking sticks, and left the area quickly without telling anyone at the time.

In August 1981 the witness rode a motorcycle up forest roads to a high peak near the North Fork. Near the treeline he uncovered a large old barefoot-like track and later from the summit saw a head-and-shoulders shadow watching from the dark treeline. The shape was gone when he looked back after viewing the panorama, and he rode quickly back down the mountain.

Four witnesses walking upstream along a creek heard rustling that kept pace with them from across the water. They then saw a hair-covered face peering at them through bushes a short distance away, which appeared two more times as they continued. Frightened by being followed and by the creek ending in a swamp ahead, they ran back to camp and later told their parents.

The witness and his girlfriend were driving east at night to look for deer when they noticed a figure walking west in a ditch beside the road. Because the ditch was about five feet below the roadway, they estimated the figure to be eight to nine feet tall. They described it as dark with wide shoulders moving easily through the ditch. They did not stop for a closer look and instead took a longer route back.

When the witness was 11, a very tall hair-covered creature stood outside the house window for a few minutes late at night before walking around the side of the house. The next day the witness and a sibling found large footprints around the house and estimated the creature's height from the window measurement. Rain later washed the prints away after they were followed into the woods.

The witness and a companion were driving on the interstate at night when headlights lit up a white erect figure over six feet tall on a nearby mountainside. The figure appeared to be watching highway traffic and was visible for only a few seconds in the dark. Both occupants noticed it and verbally confirmed to each other that they had seen it.

While fishing about forty yards apart on a riverbank, the witness and a relative felt watched and noticed movement in brush at the base of a cliff. The pair fled down a trail toward camp, and the witness looked back to see a large hair-covered arm and hand reaching out of the brush right behind him before it disappeared. The next day they returned and found indistinct tracks in soft dirt at the bottom of the cliff face.

The witness was riding on a school bus at night after a game when they noticed a tall, hair-covered figure standing in a corn field near a scarecrow. The figure was watched for several seconds as the bus passed about 75 to 100 yards away. Other passengers did not see it and laughed when the witness called out.

The witness and a young relative spent the night in a camp trailer near the family house. Over several hours at night they heard heavy bipedal footsteps circling the trailer, brushing and clawing sounds on the siding, door and ceiling vent, and later blows to the trailer. The witness reported a brief glimpse of a long shaggy finger-like shape through the vent screen, and said the sounds withdrew when a car approached and returned later.

While hunting with a dog in the late afternoon, the witness felt watched. The dog ran into a thicket and barked, then a loud scream was heard over the barking followed by snapping branches, and the dog fled home. The witness then saw a tall dark outline standing in the brush about 25 yards away that seemed to start moving toward him, so he ran home and found the dog hiding.
