The witness was driving south on Highway 11 late at night with a bright light bar on when a tall hairy biped crossed the road ahead and stepped over a guardrail into the trees. The witness slowed, noted large wet footprints on the pavement where it crossed, then turned around and drove back but saw only a disturbed spot at the treeline. The witness estimated the creature was 7-8 feet tall with reddish-brown shaggy hair and a large chest, seen for only a couple seconds.

The witness, who said they had not previously believed in such beings, reported being shaken and convinced by what they saw.

The witness later inspected the path and reported crushed grass and a crushed fern along the suspected route toward thick timber.

A family was camped in a trailer near a treeline with a deer carcass stored nearby. During the night the family was awakened by rocks hitting the trailer, knocking sounds, growls, screams and whoops. The witness later went outside with a flashlight and saw a single glowing red eye high in the treeline. In the morning stacked rocks were gone, footprints were found, and a large pine by the carcass had been pushed over.

They remained on site afterward playing music and talking.
