Tall upright figure observed crossing road near Woodruff
The witness and a companion were driving on a highway in the late afternoon when both saw a tall, all-black upright figure run across the road from forest to forest. The figure crossed the roadbed and embankments in a few seconds without slowing, stumbling, or looking aside, moving its arms smoothly while running. The witnesses described it as lanky with a conical head and could not identify it as a known animal or person.

The witness was fishing from a boat in a small cove with a relative during daytime. After hearing rustling in the woods, the witness observed a tall hairy figure in profile moving very quickly on two legs with its arms swaying. The relative did not see the figure. The witness initially considered a bear but rejected that idea because the figure lacked bear-like ears and a snout.

The witness, age 11 at the time, was in bed when a large shadow was cast on the bedroom wall from outside the window for about 20 to 30 seconds. A few minutes later the witness heard the back storage room door being ripped off and sounds of ransacking, including the freezer being opened and heavy objects moved. The next morning the storage room was found in disarray with the door off, faint scratches without tool marks, and frozen foods missing.
