Hunter sees black creature dive into the Sioux River near Washburn
The witness was walking downstream along the Sioux River after trout fishing when he noticed a small black furry creature on the bank ahead. The creature immediately launched itself arms-first into the deepest pool and disappeared underwater without resurfacing during several minutes of watching. The witness did not inspect the spot for tracks and continued out to his car, remaining puzzled about what he saw.

Two occupants of a five-person vehicle reported seeing a brown upright figure beside a wooded road while driving back from fishing. The figure was described as dropping straight down to a crouch behind bushes as the vehicle passed. The view lasted only a split second and the group did not turn back to investigate.
