The witness was driving along a rural road in the early evening when he spotted a dark figure sitting in a vineyard beside the road. He continued a short distance, turned around in a church lot, and returned to find another driver stopped at the same spot. Both then watched the figure walk upright on two legs into the adjacent treeline, which convinced the witness it was not a bear.
