A group of teenage girls doing shoreline cleanup heard loud screaming from the woods and then saw a hair-covered biped emerge from a marsh onto the beach. The creature appeared startled, took cover behind driftwood, and watched them from a crouch for several minutes. The frightened group fled to their van and left the beach.

A couple driving on Highway 2 between Moncton and Sackville in June 2006 saw a dark bipedal figure cross a clearing about 100 yards away. They watched it alternate between the road and ditch until it entered the woods out of sight. In early April 2006 around 2:30 a.m., the witness was inside his trailer when he saw a hairy figure staring through a nearby window. When he tried to shut his front door, something held it open against his push. The witness was driving on Highway 32 at dusk when she noticed a small dark-haired animal at the roadside eating from a trash bag in the ditch. As she approached and honked, the animal rose onto its hind legs and ran hunched over into an adjacent field. She stopped to search with her headlights but could not relocate it.

In spring 2006 the witness was touring a large ranch in a converted school bus with county review staff. While the bus slowed for hogs, the witness looked across a flooded pasture and saw a tall, dark-haired bipedal figure standing on a small rise about 125 to 150 yards away. The figure was visible for a few seconds before vegetation blocked the view, turning its upper body toward the bus as it passed while apparently holding something in its arms.

As they approached closer, the figure turned and jogged into the woods beside the trail. The witness was driving home from work in the early morning when a large upright shape appeared in the opposite lane. Slowing for what was thought to be a deer, the witness realized at close range it was very tall, man-like with arms, and covered in light-colored hair. As the van passed, the creature appeared to lunge toward the vehicle with its shoulders above the van roof, and the witness sped away frightened.

The witness was driving alone at night on a two-lane highway when the headlights revealed a tall hair-covered figure standing on the edge line. The figure stayed motionless and stiff as the car passed very close, with the sighting lasting about ten seconds. The witness continued driving without stopping and later told relatives, who were skeptical.

The witness was riding in a car with two relatives to launch a boat when they noticed roadside onlookers with cameras and binoculars. The witness then saw a tall, muscular, dark-furred figure standing in shallow water near trees about 50 yards from the road. The figure reportedly stood still as they passed and was still visible as they drove away, while the companions thought it was a bear or deer.

The witness was driving slowly through S-turns on Highway 199 late at night with high beams on. The headlights illuminated a very large hairy biped walking on the opposite side of the road facing away. The witness watched it for a few seconds while passing close by but did not turn around for a frontal view because of the narrow canyon road and fear. The witness continued driving and later documented the sighting.

The witness was alone checking hog traps at the secluded, heavily wooded back of a large ranch during the daytime. He saw a very large charcoal-gray hairy biped about six feet tall run behind a tree and hide. Frightened, he left the area immediately and did not see it again.

The witness was driving southwest on the parkway near mile marker 307 at sunset with a companion in the car. He saw a solid black biped about four to five feet tall moving along the roadside, which then sprinted between his car and an oncoming vehicle. The figure lost its footing at the road edge, steadied itself with its arms, and disappeared into the woods within seconds. The companion did not see it.

The witness and two companions were walking near a bonfire when they saw a dark figure run across a horse field. The figure was inside the fence line and reportedly cleared a 5-foot fence at the end of the field. It was viewed from about 60 feet for about 7 seconds and described as nearly 6 feet tall, about 265 lbs, and all black.

The witness and a relative were at their workplace near forest and a creek when the relative called the witness to the back door. They watched a large black hairy bipedal creature run very fast down a hill toward the woods. The sighting lasted about ten seconds from about two hundred feet away.

A tall, broad animal covered in brownish-red hair ran across the road about thirty feet ahead, crossing in a few steps over about five seconds. The witness was sitting on steps behind employee housing talking on the phone at sunset when a large figure appeared in old-growth forest. The figure moved diagonally across her view at a fast walk without coming toward her or looking at her, then was gone after a few seconds. She was terrified, ran away crying, then looked back with curiosity.

The witness and her daughter stopped at a park outside Cave Junction in winter and walked down to the river. The witness noticed a very large dark human-like figure wading in the river at a distance, appearing to look down and move toward them. After the figure looked up, the witness panicked, yelled to run, and they fled to the car and drove back toward town.
Elk hunters see huge, white upright figure approach their campfire north of Fort Collins
Four men arrived after dark at a family property for an elk hunt and built a campfire. They heard heavy footfalls and branch breaking approaching from a draw, then saw a large light-colored upright figure about 40 feet away at the edge of the firelight. The figure crouched, turned to look at them, then stood and walked away quickly in a few steps. The group sheltered in a trailer and found no tracks the next morning.
