Deer hunter reports loud wood knocks where PCT passes Hyatt Lake
While deer hunting near Hyatt Lake, the witness heard a large object crash through the woods moving away. Shortly after stopping, the witness heard tree knocks from the same direction, then heard additional knocks behind while walking back to a truck on the main road. Despite aiming a rifle scope toward the sounds from under 100 yards away, the witness saw nothing and was frightened.

Around 7:30 in the morning the witness was at home after briefly letting her dog out and the dog came straight back inside. She noticed a strong sewage-like smell and heard sticks breaking beside the house. Looking out the bathroom windows she watched a large dark upright creature walk north about 20 feet away and continue upslope toward the cemetery.

After hearing heavy metal banging for several nights, the witness ran armed from his fifth-wheel to a 30x40 foot excavation pit. He confronted two 8-9 foot hair-covered beings on the far side and a 4-foot juvenile trapped in the 12-foot hole, while a 10-11 foot individual flanked near his truck. After a scream-roar and standoff where he lowered his aim off the juvenile, the adults retrieved the juvenile and withdrew silently to the treeline. He packed up, later had researchers trespass after his cousin told them, filled the hole, and sold the property.
Possible activity experienced by campers at a popular campground in the Mount Hood National Forest
The witness and two companions camped in the Mt Hood National Forest with a barrel of animal entrails intended as bait. Over three days they reported loud screams from a nearby ridge, nighttime wood knocks, heavy steps and snapping twigs, and found their camp table apparently bitten through. They moved the bait pile away from camp, later found most of it missing with a wet sweet dog-like odor at the site.
Possible encounter while bow hunting for elk near Florence
While bow-hunting, the witness heard repeated loud knocks from nearby woods lasting many minutes, then later heard brush rustling moving toward an elk call. After repositioning along a road, the witness heard a final very loud knock from a large tree about 30 yards away and left the area as darkness fell. A hunting companion nearby reported hearing a couple of knocks.
Face-to-face encounter at dusk along the Pacific Coast Trail
The witness and a companion were hiking back up a forested trail in the evening when they heard loud branch-breaking sounds, saw bushes sway, and smelled a strong garbage-like odor. After the forest went quiet, the witness turned and saw a very large, dark reddish-brown, ape-faced head peering over vegetation, which watched curiously for a few seconds before moving behind a tree. The companion heard the sounds and smelled the odor but did not see the figure, and the pair quickly returned to their vehicle.
Odor in Oregon (2010)
While wading late in the day, the witness felt hair rise and smelled sudden rancid carrion. A large beaver rushed downstream past him and the sense of something nearby in tall grass intensified. He watched for a bear, then walked to his rig and left without seeing the source.
Sasquatch sighting near Cottage Grove, Oregon (2009)
On Mother's Day 2009 under bright moonlight, the guest's group of five smelled a foul odor and watched a black mass on all fours swaying 60 yards away. It went behind trees and then stood up, showing arms, shoulders and head silhouetted with shoulder sheen before walking gracefully away. Laser measurement later put the distance at 63 yards with 19-inch weathered prints, suggesting about 9.5 feet tall.

The morning after a night of knocking sounds at a remote ridge camp, the witness and a companion were driving out on a logging road when a very tall dark figure ran across the road ahead of them and disappeared into the trees. They stopped at the crossing point and searched the uphill slope, where the witness found and videotaped an 18-inch barefoot-like track in moss along with other partial marks, and heard something noisy move away through the forest.
Couple south of Aurora hears repeated screams, encounter with dog
Late at night the witness and a companion at home heard loud roaring scream patterns from across a small lake that they judged non-human and primate-like, appearing to respond to barking dogs and move along the shore. About three minutes later they heard a violent scuffle with thudding, brush noise and a dog's pained yelp followed by quiet splashing. The next morning a canoe dock where the scuffle was heard was seen destroyed, and the dog was later found alive but limping.
Tracks found south of the Warm Springs Reservation (REPORT UPDATED)
A couple out fishing and scouting for elk followed animal tracks and noticed a strong bad odor, white coarse hair covering a stump, and very large deep footprints around a wallow leading toward a creek. They estimated the prints were about a day old and also noted scarred trees and broken branches in the area. Frightened by the size and strangeness of the signs, they left and reported the experience right away.
Bicyclist hears vocalization, wood knocks and sees tree shaking
On July 3 the witness was walking his loaded bicycle along Highway 242 west of Sisters in the early evening. From about 50 feet away in the woods he heard four evenly spaced wood-on-wood knocks, then saw a large bush shake and heard a low animal-like growl. He watched for about 30 seconds before walking away, with nothing further happening.
Witness sees biped leaving her yard
The witness reports being awakened at home around 2:30 a.m. by a motion-sensor light and noticing a musky odor. Looking out the window, the witness saw a large dark figure walking on two legs toward the trees and into shadows. The figure appeared tall relative to a trailer, leading the witness to wonder if it might be a Bigfoot.

The witness and a companion briefly left their truck to check a regular campsite. From about 10 feet away they heard loud cracking in brush and saw it moving violently, then heard and felt two or three extremely heavy steps moving away. They saw no animal but concluded something very large, fast and heavy had been startled nearby.

The witness let dogs out at camp and walked up the hill behind the trailer to find a small dog. While resting near a rock face, the witness heard the dog bark, looked back, and saw a tall black figure running down the hill. The witness followed the sound of it crashing through brush to a clearing below, where the noise stopped.
Hunter hears morning vocalization and has evening sighting north of Diamond Lake
The witness was elk hunting with a companion in the evening near a pickup. After hearing loud movement coming downhill, the witness briefly saw a bipedal figure running along a ridge through burned trees, then heard loud screams. The companion also heard the screams over the radio and in person as they met to discuss it.
Camping family has auditory and olfactory encounter in early evening southeast of Dorena Lake
A witness camping with two relatives heard repeated whoop sounds and felt watched during an early-evening hike, then ran back to camp. Overnight the group heard heavy slow footsteps outside the tent, and around 4 a.m. noticed a strong foul dirty-animal odor. By morning the tent and tarp were found marked with a strong urine-like smell, and the tarp was left behind.
Sasquatch crosses road in Coast Range in front of car
The witness was driving west before dawn when a dark, hairy biped crossed the road in front of the vehicle. The figure crossed from left to right in a few strides and disappeared over the roadside bank. After stopping and backing up to the spot, the witness reported a musty smell, faint brush movement, and a feeling of being watched before driving away.

Two companions got out of a car by woods to take a road sign when the reporter heard a low growl. Both then heard a loud unfamiliar shriek followed by something crashing through brush. They ran back to the car and left without seeing anything.
Hiker sees, attempts to photograph a sasquatch in the Columbia Gorge
While hiking alone and descending a dry trail, the witness heard a loud crashing nearby and saw a large black ape-like animal running uphill, visible from the waist up. The animal tripped, caught itself, showed its face in profile, then disappeared while a fallen tree rocked and a possible face was glimpsed. The witness photographed the area, heard and saw nothing further, found no other tracks, and later found possible scat in the direction the animal headed.
