The noise stopped beside a dead oak where bark was then loudly ripped for minutes, then went silent, and he left before dark.

He looked toward the source and saw a creature kneeling like a person, which then stood, made eye contact for about 30 seconds, and ran through the woods. After revving the truck engine the sounds crashed rapidly downhill, and the pair left, seeing deer run across the road as they drove out.

Two companions were riding on a dirt road at night when their headlights illuminated a tall, dark bipedal figure standing in the road. The figure dropped what it was holding and leapt into the adjacent woods. The witnesses stopped and found a half-eaten rabbit at the spot, noticed a musky odor, and found no tracks on the hard-packed ground before leaving.

The primary witness heard noises again overnight, and the next morning the group found large footprints, hair and a bedding area before the primary witness briefly saw a tall hair-covered upright creature that looked at him and ran away.

The witness was riding a bicycle on a trail through woods near a grocery store when a large hairy creature stepped into the path, causing a fall. The creature stood over the witness at close range and produced a loud howl/growl with its mouth open before leaving into the woods at high speed while breaking branches. The witness then rode home quickly and hid inside.

The writer's brother was driving alone late at night on Skyball Mountain when he smelled a strong odor. He saw a large dark hair-covered figure in tall weeds beside the road that stepped onto the road and stared at him while he stopped and watched for a minute or more. The figure then walked into the woods on the other side of the road and he drove home.
