Object throwing in North Carolina
While a partner new to the outings accompanied the group without prior briefing, she noticed a sudden green flash like a bulb blowing in the woods. Shortly after, movement was heard nearby and a small stick was thrown and struck her leg, an event said to be on video.
Odor in Oregon
The guest and three companions camped several days in remote central Oregon to look into Bigfoot. They smelled a skunky BO odor, felt something brush tents, found large and human-sized barefoot prints, heard human-like grunts, found torn branches and an uprooted tree, had apples taken from high up with sticker skin peeled, and saw a bulky dark figure at the treeline captured as a blurry night-vision still. They left early due to bad weather.
Cryptid sighting
On exterior patrol around 4 a.m., the witness and partner noticed a man-shaped figure by distant small buildings. Viewed with night vision, it repeatedly sprinted extremely fast from one building to another and back, pausing out of sight, for about 15 minutes. They did not report it because it stayed outside their area of responsibility.
Partial sighting
During night assault training, a machine-gun team on high ground reported two prone figures in the desert behind the team on thermal. The exercise was stopped and a sweep with naked eye, night vision, and thermal found nothing at 30 meters. The figures vanished from thermal and only residual heat remained where they had lain.
UFO sighting in Nevada
While working night security in the desert, the witness and partner saw what looked like off-road headlights that vanished. Patrols behind them reported colored lights at three positions around them that the witness team could not see with eyes, night vision, thermals, and the dog did not alert. Radios went dead and command later said they were out of contact about 20 minutes, though it felt like three minutes.

The nine-year-old witness took the family dog to the edge of a snowy field by base housing at night. A helicopter with a spotlight moved erratically over the woods, apparently pursuing something. A huge dark being burst from the treeline into deep snow, moved very fast alternating bipedal and quadrupedal motion, then re-entered the woods with the helicopter following.

Shortly after returning from boot camp, the witness took a dog for a daytime run on trails. A large wolf-like animal blocked the trail and stared, while the dog looked into the woods. Loud breaking of trees and branches in parallel scared the wolf off instantly, and the witness ran back home.

Months later after moving to a prairie area, the witness was riding four-wheelers at night with two friends. Headlights lit a tall hairy creature by a cow feeder that looked identical to the first one. The friends fled immediately, the witness watched briefly, then fled after his four-wheeler stalled.

The witness was staying at a rural family property without electricity and stepped away from a bonfire at night. He watched a tall thin hairy figure with an elongated head walk carefully from a ditch toward a neighboring lit farm. The figure then sprinted across a field at remarkable speed, dropped forward onto all fours and entered the bush. The witness concluded it could not have been a human runner.
Tracks
The witness and five family members were camping and fishing at a remote lake. In the evening rocks were thrown toward a brother across the lake, followed by mimicked voices, screams, growls and surrounding noises. A large live tree was pushed over and fast-moving silhouettes were seen around the camp. The group abandoned their gear and left after the brother, who had been paced in the woods, rejoined them at the car.
Howl in Virginia
A camping party arrived late at a ridgetop site and heard strange howling around 2 to 3 a.m. the first night. The next evening after dinner the dog fixated on brush by a steep drop, where one camper saw paired eyes at close range that avoided a flashlight, followed by branch breaks and a tall tree-like silhouette that walked from one side of camp to the road and later showed yellow eyeshine. The group packed hurriedly, secured the dog and lights, and drove home the same night feeling watched but not directly threatened.

Two partners camped in a van with a friend and dogs for deer season. On the first night they saw an upright figure by a car that vanished in a few steps and was not the friend's companion. The next night dogs reacted to knocking at the window, a pumpkin had been moved without marks, and large human-like handprints with long fingers were found on the van.

About 1960, the submitter's husband and two school friends were spending a weekend night inside a relative's cabin when they felt watched and saw a tall hair-covered figure silhouetted by the open refrigerator light. The boys shouted and split up to flee to the car, with the husband reporting something running close behind him that he could hear breathing and smell strongly like moldy skunk. In hindsight he wondered whether the figure was also fleeing and had simply taken the same path.
Odor
After his vehicle became stuck in snow on a high peak in February, the witness hiked miles at night to get cell reception and arrange a rescue. During the hike he found a freshly torn small coyote skull with no tracks, smelled skunk that vanished, and heard sounds like large trucks with no roads nearby. Weeks later his lost emergency locator showed movement and an SOS, and searches found a branch nest with a large X nearby and a trail camera that later disappeared.

The witness and his son were rowing across a different lake on the same property around midday when they noticed a white, propane-tank-shaped object sitting on or just above the flat water with no reflection, sound, or wake. They watched it move slowly and silently across the width of the lake until it reached the far shore and disappeared into the heavily wooded shoreline where there is no boat launch or access. The witness said he photographed the object and later shared grayscale and color versions.

The witness and his wife were camping at their remote property and sitting by a campfire after sunset when a low white light approached, passed nearly overhead, and continued behind the trees. A few minutes later they heard yipping that rose and dropped into overlapping grunting, screams and yells from about half a mile away, followed by total silence. The witness said he had camped there for decades and never heard anything like it, and later felt a recording from another Michigan case sounded nearly identical.

A squad leader on a midnight blocking position saw a dark canine-like creature in a crouch about 20 meters away making low growls. When he lowered night vision the creature ran fast at a low stance while others heard crashing. Later soldiers reported wet-dog odor and loud guttural sounds after coyotes fell silent.

At a remote drop-zone field, the neighbor spent about 72 hours seeing black human-like shadows moving in the wood line. Other soldiers also shouted about seeing something huge running away. At night he heard unexplained shrieks and yowls, and on the last night something large leaned over his tent breathing before walking away.

The witness was camping with his uncle and two cousins when they saw a panning light and several fast black shadows cross a pasture. They challenged a suspected poacher, then heard clear bipedal footsteps outside their tent during rain. Lightning illuminated a massive man-like shadow on the tent with very long arms, which then ran away, prompting them to abandon camp for the farmhouse.

The witness and another person watched a light rise from a meadow, hover, grow from softball to basketball size, and shift from blue to vibrant yellow. It moved toward them to about fifty feet away, then darted toward a tree line and dissipated. It made no sound and lasted about ten minutes.
