While lying in bed, the witness felt the blankets pulled as his young daughter commonly does and lifted up to respond, but no one was there. He then heard fast movement through the bedroom door and checked his daughters' room to find them deeply asleep. The experience kept him up checking on his family.

While sleeping on his stomach, the witness felt hands wrap around his ankles and yank him from bed. He was dragged face-down through a long hallway without feeling expected pain, then sensed a sudden shift from wood to an ice-cold metallic floor where he could slap his hands for friction. While biking with her father, the daughter rode ahead, fell off her bike and fled screaming that a black furry thing with upright ears and a massive neck looked at her and came toward her before retreating into bushes when it saw the father. The father saw only black fur and rustling and later called fish and game.

The driver broke down on a rainy highway and was working in the back of a tall cargo van. A snorting sound came from outside, and a large hairy face appeared inches away in the open door. The creature vibrated the van with a loud growl, reacted to a pistol, then left. Lightning revealed two more figures nearby, and the driver fired and fled to town.

The following summer the witness's mother and sisters watched the tree line because cattle were bunched in the barn. Something unseen thrashed trees violently at the brush edge about a hundred yards away. It was judged larger than a [name withheld] previously seen on the property.

While mushroom hunting with his mother the witness crossed a creek and found a single tiny human-like footprint in a wash. No other prints appeared after extended tracking, while crashing sounds moved away through woods, which he interpreted as something carrying off a young one.

While bow hunting in September on a skidder road toward the hills, the caller repeatedly smelled a strong odor on the wind that came and went. He looked for a dead animal but found nothing and felt hair rise on his neck.
Vocalization
While the caller sat in a ground blind and his friend sat nearby, a loud deep monkey-like or owl-like sound came from about 80 yards behind and moved 20 yards at a time. It sounded close and perfectly enunciated with no person visible. Another hunter nearby heard similar whistles moving toward him and left with his pistol.

At about age 10 the caller rode up to find his mother and sisters watching cows backed into a barn. Something unseen in thick maple trees at the tree line shook the trees hard. He later interpreted it as the locally known rock quarry monster.

The witness's mother got up at night and saw a large dark figure at her back patio door putting its hands over the glass as if trying to enter. After the witness drove up with headlights, the figure left over a steep ravine in one leap. The mother remained fearful and kept doors locked.

The witness was alone fishing from a boat on a lake in the afternoon. About twenty yards away on the bank the witness saw a black upright figure trying to hide its face and move away. It slipped through brush silently, ran up a hill, and made loud branch-breaking sounds that frightened the witness, who waited at the ramp before leaving.

While driving a dirt shortcut the witness saw a brown blur cross the road. Immediately after, the fresh front half of a fawn lay in the road with chest contents missing and a clean break. The witness could not identify the blur and wondered about an unknown predator.

While scouting a reputed haunted road the witness saw a brown figure watching from brush and later found unexplained scratches on his shoulder. The next night during a Halloween broadcast the group saw moving shadows, heard talking, and recorded a white light hovering over the trail. A partner who approached the light reported being pushed backward.
