Sasquatch sighting near Fort Lewis, Washington (1996)
While serving as OPFOR team leader, the guest camped with four soldiers on a hilltop at Fort Lewis. They awoke to live gunfire and powerful roars that made three men ill, then approached to find special-operations personnel standing over two shot Sasquatch bodies. After the female died before them, the team was removed, threatened with prosecution if they spoke, and later found the site cleared.
Unusual sounds heard, sighting of fast upright animal
The witness and two relatives returned at night to a riverside berry area where relatives had felt watched the day before. After about ten minutes of quiet, they heard a loud bang like a shotgun, loud splashing near shore, and repeated very large rocks thrown into the water. After retreating uphill and pausing by the car, they heard a branch snap and rustling, and an unseen presence loudly mimicked the witness's whistle by vocalizing.
Father and son encounter an ape-like creature near a stream
The witness and the witness's young son walked downstream toward a stream to fish, with their dog ahead. They encountered a large hairy figure crouched over an animal carcass about 30-35 yards away, noticed a foul odor, and watched it stand upright. The figure screamed several times as they retreated to the car and was still standing near the water when last seen from a ridge.
Creature observed by motorist near Jarrel Cove State Park
Late at night the witness was driving north on Harstine Island and slowed for a turn when headlights and moonlight revealed a huge upright figure in a pasture about 40 feet away. The figure looked at the car, walked parallel along the fence line, stepped over the fence, crossed the road and vanished into brush. The witness drove quickly to a campground shower and did not stay overnight, returning the next day to find the fence pushed down.
Large prints found in mud and then vocalizations heard south of Yakama Reservation
The witness drove to rented pasture to check fences where cattle had been getting out. He found a large tree knocked through the fence with strange hair on the wire, moved the tree and repaired the fence, then found very large fresh footprints in mud near a creek. He heard a grunt near the repair site and later a high-pitched scream from the same direction, found items tossed from his truck bed, then left and did not return.
Daylight encounter with firefighter near Skykomish
The witness, part of a two-person wildland fire crew, was descending a steep brushy slope after working a fire when a dropped shovel led him to a rocky ledge with a small cave. He noticed a foul odor at the cave entrance, then saw two rocks thrown from uphill that he concluded the companion could not have thrown. Looking uphill, he watched a dark hairy upright figure moving away through brush for a few seconds before it became still and silent, after which both men left and reported the incident.
Equipment operator finds tracks in three feet of snow near Molson
Two loggers arriving before daylight found fresh large tracks in snow at a landing and followed them briefly. Later while working the witness felt watched, heard a stick-banging sound on a tree that he could not locate, and noticed deer had left the area. The boss believed the tracks were sasquatch, and the witness came to believe a bigfoot was watching them.
Couple hear sounds and find footprints near Hoodsport
The witness and a companion heard loud brush movement and limb-breaking sounds at a secluded pond, then smelled a strong unpleasant odor and felt unease. A short time later about a mile away they found a series of five very large footprints in a dried boggy area. They later returned and made a plaster cast and took photos of the prints.
Scream in Washington (1992)
The witness and a fellow soldier were on a moonlit two-man patrol defending a simulated missile site during a training exercise. They heard a long loud scream that shifted into babble and cackling, saw a large silhouette on a ridge, and followed it for over a kilometer. When the figure charged downhill toward them they moved to intercept, then stopped amid intense layered odor and withdrew feeling they were in danger.
Man recounts seeing a sasquatch while driving a logging road near Snoqualmie
Two companions driving home from fishing on a logging road saw a large hair-covered biped walking rapidly away. They stopped, watched it look back at them and disappear around a bend, then drove forward to see it again further down the road as it crossed into thick brush. After stopping, they heard brush rustling for about 20 seconds but could no longer see it.
Hiker encounters huge, upright animal at creek on Grass Mountain
The witness was exploring up a small feeder creek away from a campsite when a very strong foul smell was noticed and movement was heard ahead in the brush. A tall, very muscular, reddish-brown entity with huge shoulders and no apparent neck was seen walking about 50 feet away. The witness retreated toward camp, perceived the smell as moving with them and believed the animal kept pace and followed to the campsite, then left the mountain without packing up the tent.
Loud vocalizations sounds heard
During a nighttime military training bivouac near Cat Lake, the witness heard huffing and barking sounds approaching down a moonlit hillside with shaking and falling trees. A large upright man-like form with broad shoulders stepped into the clearing, huffed loudly, then ran upright across the clearing with swinging arms and heavy steps felt in the ground. The platoon woke, packed rapidly, and moved away, and a daylight check found knocked-over trees and disturbed soil but no prints.

The witness was teaching a companion how to camp without fire or lights in wooded terrain when they realized they were surrounded by several large upright figures. The figures remained mostly still, with only minor sounds, while the pair talked and then backed out with firearms ready without firing at the figures. One figure was later seen leaping from the roadside high into a tree. The witness returned the next day to recover gear, found extensive large tracks, followed fresh tracks, and encountered one individual at close range.

As a child helping his father work late on their house without running water, the witness went outside for water and felt watched. He turned to see two glowing red eyes a couple feet off the ground that rose to about eight feet. He screamed, his father came with a nail gun, and the eyes disappeared.
Memory told of being chased home by a bi-pedal animal near Robe
Two companions were shooting at targets in a logged area and started walking back toward a house at dusk. They heard distant howls that grew closer, then screams and crashing as something rushed toward them. One looked back while crossing a fence and saw a large hairy stocky creature chasing them, then they reached the house where it threw objects and damaged trash cans, fencing and a window, with a strong odor noted.
Family hunting near Wahkiacus is stalked by a large animal
During a deer-hunting drive in foggy woods, the witness and his father found large bipedal tracks over their tire marks and concluded a bear could not have made them. As they circled back, an unseen animal tracked them, producing a strong foul odor and a high-pitched squeal before thrashing off toward the mother waiting at the truck. They later found uprooted small trees, additional tracks in camp, hair on fencing, and a woody debris structure, and heard screaming and a howl that prompted a relative to leave camp.
Sighting by two hikers
Two companions on a hiking and camping trip followed grunting and rock-crashing sounds along a remote game trail. Through dense woods they saw bulky upright figures, first taken for a standing bear but judged to be something unfamiliar with a large upper body and no visible neck. When they returned to the spot the figures were gone, leaving stacked large rocks, broken branches and a powerful dung-like smell, after which they left the area.

While driving up toward the snow line where they had been finding tracks, the witness and others came around a bend. They saw something across the river by the water. It apparently heard the car and fled.
Woman recalls childhood incident -- possible stalking near Yelm
As a nine-year-old, the witness took a wrong turn while walking through woods toward an orchard and felt watched for an extended time. The witness heard a branch snap and saw underbrush moving without seeing the source, then later found a large footprint near a caution-tape marker. The witness came to believe years later that a sasquatch had followed and protected them until they recrossed the fence to their property.
Footsteps in Washington (1987)
In 1987 the witness was deer hunting and camping in eastern Washington. After the group left him alone at a logging road camp, he heard bipedal footsteps approach his tent at night, felt something strike the tent, then heard movement near his car and a log being torn apart in a gully before fleeing by vehicle to the highway. A night or two later he returned with a hunting companion and both heard multiple chattering, tonal and clicking vocalizations from different directions surrounding the camp.
