They left the hiding spot as crashing sounds followed them uphill. Other members of the hunting party later said they had seen a figure walking on the hill where the pair had not been. The group later returned to the site and found unusual scat.

The witness and a companion were parked in a truck at a mountain road landing late at night and watched a wild boar rooting in snow. After the boar fled, an upright figure appeared at the tree line, stood over the boar's spot, and was then illuminated by high beams. The figure blocked the light, showed glowing eyes, grunted, crossed the road in three strides, grabbed a sapling and disappeared uphill, leaving a strong odor.

She watched it through binoculars for about 15 minutes, seeing yellow eyes looking back, before leaving for camp without telling her husband why. Her husband, positioned nearby, did not see the figure but reported smelling something awful at the same time.

While walking back out of the woods, the witness heard something large approach and stop behind them. After daybreak, after several deer ran past appearing spooked, a tall bipedal hair-covered creature ran past the stand without stopping. Two more smaller creatures, one described as dragging a baby-sized one, then appeared briefly before quickly following the first, leaving behind a foul odor.

The witness and spouse were hiking uphill in heavy snow when they found about a dozen very fresh, large barefoot-like tracks crossing the slope. As they examined the tracks, nearby foliage shook as if an animal was present, and they felt sudden fear and decided to leave. While descending about 300 yards, small pebbles were repeatedly tossed at them from behind, striking the witness in the back without injury until they began to run.

The witness described two large males standing motionless, a thin female with a hump who vocalized and wrung her hands, and a smaller child-sized figure, before the light faded and the pair left the area to finish work later.

The witness was fishing near Goose Lake by Trout Lake and took shelter in his tent during a noon thunderstorm. He heard one loud, powerful vocalization estimated 50 to 100 yards away that echoed down the canyon and felt in his chest. After the rain stopped he smelled a wet-dog and urine-like odor for about an hour.

The guest and three companions visited the quarry caretaker and walked toward the quarry pond. After smelling a musky odor and finding a large nesting area, they saw a female creature sitting by a berry bush that stood and quickly left into the woods. They tracked snapping sounds and heavy breathing with amplified equipment for over an hour until the sounds stopped near a clear-cut.
