Late at night while driving home over a river bridge with the convertible top down, the witness saw a large brown-haired being bent over in the lane apparently picking something up. As she slowed and moved to the other lane to pass, the being froze motionless and she was hit by an overpowering foul odor. She then accelerated home to tell her husband. The encounter happened around midnight about a quarter mile from her home.

The witness was staying at a cabin near Lake Mary and took two dogs for a night walk. The dogs began growling and pulling toward sounds of rustling leaves and breaking branches. The witness shone a flashlight and saw a huge ape-like but human-built figure about 200 feet away watching and swaying between trees. After a minute or two the figure turned and walked away, and the witness hurried back to the cabin.

The witness was scouting a tributary creek of the Middle Fork Snoqualmie for a place to fish when he found large fresh tracks on both sides of the water. He then smelled a foul odor, felt watched, and heard repeated loud knocking sounds while returning to his car. He hurried to his car where his wife was waiting and left the area, saying he has not returned alone since.

The witness reports camping in the Cowichan Valley with companions when they heard something circling them. They then saw an animal briefly but clearly in campfire light. The animal ran off when a loud dirtbike approached.

The witness and two young companions were fishing on a private wooded property around noon. When the witness approached palmettos to check a noise, he saw eyes, heard a growl, and watched the creature stand to about nine feet tall. The group fled and returned hours later to find food and fish missing, poles scattered, and their shirts draped high in a live oak.

A couple out fishing and scouting for elk followed animal tracks and noticed a strong bad odor, white coarse hair covering a stump, and very large deep footprints around a wallow leading toward a creek. They estimated the prints were about a day old and also noted scarred trees and broken branches in the area. Frightened by the size and strangeness of the signs, they left and reported the experience right away.

Three people parked near a bend in a road to look at the spot of an earlier sighting. They watched a large silhouette leaning against a tree that slowly raised an arm toward its face and later disappeared, while a smaller fur-covered figure was seen walking in the open and then running when approached on foot. The larger figure was also reported to turn its head to watch a passing truck.

The witness was hunting snakes along roads in the evening and stopped to check a spot. Near a tree line opening the witness heard rustling and saw the upper rear portion of a large figure. The figure turned slightly toward the witness, then walked away. The witness also reported a strong musky odor.
Bicyclist hears vocalization, wood knocks and sees tree shaking
On July 3 the witness was walking his loaded bicycle along Highway 242 west of Sisters in the early evening. From about 50 feet away in the woods he heard four evenly spaced wood-on-wood knocks, then saw a large bush shake and heard a low animal-like growl. He watched for about 30 seconds before walking away, with nothing further happening.

The witness reports being awakened at home around 2:30 a.m. by a motion-sensor light and noticing a musky odor. Looking out the window, the witness saw a large dark figure walking on two legs toward the trees and into shadows. The figure appeared tall relative to a trailer, leading the witness to wonder if it might be a Bigfoot.

Two people were shining lights for alligators beside a lake at night when vegetation beside the dock shook and repeated knocking like wood hitting a tree was heard. A nearby tree then fell, and as they ran toward safety they heard heavy steps and grunting keeping pace parallel to them. About an hour later they returned and found a tall tree freshly snapped about eight feet up with dripping sap and a hair on a branch.

The witness was walking home at night near a creek when something began throwing sticks and rocks and following her. The throwing reportedly paused when cars passed. She ran to a bridge where the pursuer entered bushes but continued throwing objects, while she heard footsteps, smelled a strong bad odor, and glimpsed only a large dark figure. Footprints were reportedly found in sand the next day.

Two coworkers arrived at a creek to fish before dawn after a night shift. Shortly after getting out of the car they heard a loud scream and strange yell-like sound from ahead, followed by something moving through brush. After fishing until daylight they walked the creek and found two large barefoot-like prints in a sandbar near disturbed mussels, leading up an embankment into dense thorns.

The primary witness was in a bedroom with an infant and stood to close the blinds when she saw a large hairy face peering in the window. She fled the room with the child in shock. Minutes later three household members arriving at the house smelled a bad odor and heard footsteps retreating into the woods east of the house, but the source stayed beyond flashlight range.

While cleaning a construction office trailer around midnight, the wife stepped outside and saw a tall hair-covered figure watching from behind a tree about 25 feet away. She stared for a couple minutes as it leaned to look around the tree, then ran inside. The couple checked the area with headlights, saw nothing, waited in the dark, and heard whistling and rustling before leaving. In daylight the next day they found nothing that explained the figure.

The husband saw a large black bipedal figure running through the bushes parallel to the road about 80 yards away. The group went a short distance farther, smelled the odor again, then turned back after the son refused to continue and the dog yelped and ran back to them.

The witness got lost after dark on a misty rainy night in February while hunting in the bottoms and tried to follow a creek out. He shined a light and sensed bodies on both sides of the creek bed, followed by sudden commotion of leaves, heavy movement and breathy grunting. The sounds moved behind him about thirty feet and then stopped abruptly without fading into the distance, which he later interpreted as the same group of creatures.

In January 2005 the witness walked to meet her young daughter at the school bus in the afternoon. Upon returning toward the house they saw a tall brown man-like figure standing motionless by the porch and staring. They watched it from ground level and then from the upstairs porch while the child tossed pebbles, but it did not move. They went inside without seeing it leave, and overnight snow covered any possible tracks.
