The witness and a friend were watching TV late at night when their pet goose became agitated and they heard branches breaking outside. They took flashlights outside and watched an ape-like animal crouched at the woods edge across the street for about 10 minutes, noting its long hair, eye color, and behavior in the lights. The witness stopped his grain truck on a dark rural road to prepare the trailer for unloading at a nearby farm. While outside the truck he heard loud pacing, branch-snapping and thrashing from woods on one side of the road and smelled a strong dead-animal odor from a ditch on the other side, accompanied by intense fear and a sense of being watched. He ran back to the cab and drove to the farm to unload. After unloading, he returned to the area and found the noises, odor, and fear were gone.

The witness reported an unfamiliar smell and a strange snort-like sound, after which the creature walked away bipedally. The witness did not shoot and left the stand for the evening.

The witness saw something crouched in a tree with a leg hanging and later a head watching from behind a shooting target, then heard the loud bark-like vocalization. After smelling a rancid odor all day and seeing glimpses, at night in candlelight one witness came face to face at five to six feet with a 7-8 foot tall hairy creature that made a loud robotic ARK bark. They all fled up a hill while it chased and vocalized, later finding the ramp burned from a knocked candle and snacks shredded.

After a tree was heard falling, something very large rushed past the camp breaking saplings, and a snapped tree was later found. The witness claims he woke in bed to a strong musky odor and saw a huge hairy figure looking down through his open bedroom window from a few feet away. He fled to his parents' bedroom as the creature gave a loud roar that turned into a scream, waking family members and frightening dogs inside and outside. He prepared to go outside with a handgun to retrieve the outdoor dog but stayed inside after a second roar and a family member's urging, remaining terrified through the night.

The witness and four companions were camped overnight on a ridge between a lake and a swampy area. Between about 1 and 4 a.m. they heard repeated loud screeching calls that approached from a distance to within tens of yards and circled their camp, sometimes accompanied by breaking branches but never revealing a source when lights were shone. After about three hours the sounds receded the way they had come, and the group left at first light without finding tracks.

The witness and a relative were setting up for deer hunting in darkness before dawn. A strong foul odor arose after the relative got into position, and something crashed loudly through the woods past the witness. The witness remained frightened in place until daylight.

The witness was hunting at dawn when something moved in a half-circle around the position to get downwind. Once downwind it gave an ear-ringing scream followed by grunts for about two minutes, then left into very thick cover. A hunting companion also heard the scream, and neither reported seeing the source clearly.

They then saw a very large, hairy humanoid shape behind them that stared before moving, which frightened them into running to a lit section of road. Late at night the witness was driving east through a national forest when he noticed red eyeshine in the road ahead. He braked to a stop and found a very tall, slender, fur-covered figure standing in front of the vehicle, staring at him for about a minute and a half. The figure then walked off the road, crossed to the nearby tree line while looking back several times, and disappeared into the forest.
