The witness and five family members were camping and fishing at a remote lake. In the evening rocks were thrown toward a brother across the lake, followed by mimicked voices, screams, growls and surrounding noises. A large live tree was pushed over and fast-moving silhouettes were seen around the camp. The group abandoned their gear and left after the brother, who had been paced in the woods, rejoined them at the car.

The witness said he had camped there for decades and never heard anything like it, and later felt a recording from another Michigan case sounded nearly identical.

At a remote drop-zone field, the neighbor spent about 72 hours seeing black human-like shadows moving in the wood line. Other soldiers also shouted about seeing something huge running away. At night he heard unexplained shrieks and yowls, and on the last night something large leaned over his tent breathing before walking away.

The evening after hunting, the witness and the cousin walked toward the truck at dusk and felt surrounded by unseen sources making varied bird and owl-like animal noises all around them. The sounds followed until near the truck then stopped. The witness suggested poachers while the cousin insisted it was not poachers.
Eyeshine in Indiana
In darkness the witness walked a logging path to his tree stand while two sets of eyeshine paralleled him side-by-side for a long distance. When he switched on white light at about 15 feet the eyes rose to about seven feet with a bark-like grunt, then vanished. From the stand he watched one taller and one smaller eyeshine peek from behind a tree until a neighbor's vehicle lights approached, when they crashed away loudly through the woods.

The witness and friends walked into dark woods and heard deep snorting or grunting that sounded like a bull but seemed impossible among close trees. As they ran toward their campfire, the unseen animal pursued them, its steps shaking the ground, until they reached the fire and left.

The witness went alone to hunt deer across from his father's house. After noticing total silence, smelling a strong odor and feeling a rumbling, a large black canine-like creature stood up 13-14 feet away and turned to look at him. He raised his rifle, the creature leaped about 20 feet, ran on all fours at extreme speed and vanished into a narrow thicket, after which he backed out deeply shaken.

On opening evening near the creek stand, the witness and a relative heard a tree crash, scraping, blowing, and movement passing between stands without seeing the source.
Odor in Alabama
From a blind in the afternoon the witness shot a doe that ran into the tree line. Following blood and a strong gut-like stench that grew stronger, the witness found the deer on its side with the body undulating and something large behind it. After a loud heavy exhalation, the witness yielded the deer and left.

The witness and a companion were fishing at night under a river bridge when they found a fresh human-like track in the mud. They then heard loud roars ending in screams, heavy movement and thudding from across the river, had rocks thrown toward them, and heard splashing and grunting as they left. At the truck they found river mud spattered on the vehicle with a strong foul odor.

Over several months the household noticed episodic skunk-like odors, distinct tree knocks, grunts and owl-like mimicry, nightly dog barking and motion lights tripping. A chain-link dog kennel was found shoved inward with no recent bear sign. Muffled conversation-like sounds were heard behind the house with no footprints found.
Footsteps near Wallace, Texas
While exploring a dry riverbed with his brother and cousin, the witness heard footsteps on top followed by heavy breathing and brush crashing that echoed off the banks. He told the others to run on his signal to the entry where adults were seining fish. The pursuit stopped short of the people and they left.

The witness's father heard a high-pitched sound and breaking branches while deer hunting, then family members and a deputy heard pacing and vocalizations through the night.

While filming a solo survival episode in Alaska, the witness heard a huge vocalization like a silverback gorilla followed by a loud crashing like a freight train moving through the forest. He decided at the time not to mention it on the show because he did not want the encounter to overshadow his survival work.
