The witness was on a nighttime training run on a rural road bordered by corn and beans when movement in the corn paced the witness. The movement stopped when the witness stopped and resumed when the witness ran. Near the highway the witness looked back and saw a tall dog-headed creature with a muscular chest and rolled shoulders emerge from the corn. The witness sprinted across the highway and jumped a fence into a friend's pool area, after which the creature was gone.

He sprinted across a busy highway to a friend's house, jumped the pool fence, and hid underwater until he felt safe.

The witness was sleeping alone in the family home when they awoke suddenly in the early morning and saw a dark head-shaped outline at the bedroom window, apparently peering inside. The figure immediately fled off the deck and ran around the house into the woods behind, moving very fast and making loud crashing noises. The witness, then about 11, went with his father to a surveyor's home in deep East Texas and followed the surveyor's young son down a thin trail behind the house to a deadfall. The son gave whooping calls, after which the witness heard approaching footsteps, heavy breathing like a horse, a deep word-like vocalization and a powerful percussive sound, then breaking limbs. The witness fled back to the house as a tall dark figure ran alongside through the brush, stopping when he screamed for his father.

The witness whimpered, the mother entered and the figure left; in the morning plowed vegetation and footprints were reportedly seen.

A tall dark hairy creature stood up, made ticking teeth sounds, and walked toward the woods as a strong musky odor was noticed.
