The witness and partner visited the same lake-trail area on a busy holiday weekend. The witness saw a fast dark figure cross the wide trail behind a deer, then later stood feet away from a tall black fur-covered figure with long arms that disappeared instantly. The partner did not see the figure but saw a branch fall, heard snapping, and they found and photographed footprints.

The guest later revisited the spot in daylight and estimated it stood about four feet tall at the back and weighed several hundred pounds.

Ten people renting a cabin heard branch-breaking noises, bangs, sounds like throwing, and strange howls after midnight, along with a foul outdoor odor. Four of the group then saw a large black bipedal figure in a field in front of the cabin that turned and went back into the woods. The group then heard more walking, howls and breaking branches around the cabin and later found a footprint.

On the fourth evening after sundown the witness saw a large dark-furred figure at about thirty yards that looked at him with apparent surprise. It walked away down the exit trail, and the witness briefly pursued it, then heard branches breaking as it circled while he backed out of the woods shouting.

After finding large footprints and noticing fresh fallen trees and a strong odor during an ATV ride, the group heard bipedal steps near base camp late at night. The guest watched a large upright figure sway between trees through night vision, saw it reappear squatting, then lose it as it moved over a ridge. The next morning the team found trampled vegetation where the figure had stood and noted they had audio of the event.

After hearing growls on two prior nights, the witness went with his son on a Friday afternoon to explore the tree line, field, and creeks southeast of the house. During the outing they noticed movement, a foul odor of rotten eggs and flesh, and then watched a large hairy biped standing about 100 feet away swaying and staring toward them. They left without running and heard two loud tree knocks after reaching the yard.

She looked up and saw a tall, very dark hairy creature holding down a branch, which then released the branch and stepped back into the trees. In June 2008 around 9:30 p.m., the witness was walking with a child along a road toward a farm when a strange high-pitched howl and musty odor were noticed. A tall, hairy human-like figure emerged from a cornfield and followed at a distance as they hurried toward a waiting vehicle. When vehicle headlights were turned on, the figure paused, vocalized again, and retreated quickly into the corn. The waiting adult also heard the vocalization.

The witness was driving home with her son at dusk when a tall, dark-furred biped with long arms crossed the road in front of their vehicle in about three strides and entered the woods. After pulling into the driveway, they noticed a strong rotten odor and heard branches breaking and a high-pitched woot sound. They went inside, and the odor was gone when the witness returned outside an hour later.

Three occupants of a car driving home around 2 a.m. noticed a dark shape in a roadside ditch by a bridge. When the driver backed up, the figure stood up, leaned over briefly, then rushed toward the car covering distance very quickly. The driver accelerated away and the occupants saw it enter the road behind them. They described a large thick-built figure with coarse hair, a large belly, round head and no neck, and noted a terrible skunk-like odor.

While driving south on Route 77 near Salt Fork Lake State Park in the early morning, the witness saw a huddled shape against the guardrail and first thought it was a bear that had been hit. After backing up, the witness watched from about 15 to 20 feet away as the shape stood on two legs, stepped over the guardrail, and walked into the woods. The observation lasted about 15 to 20 seconds in moonlight and was followed by a strong skunk-like odor; the witness stayed in the car out of fear.

While hunting and returning down a trail, the witness encountered a tall brown-haired creature by a tree and stared at it. The creature vocalized, approached after the witness placed a gun on the ground, then walked away. The witness tried to follow but the creature ran off too fast to track.

Two companions shoveling snow noticed barefoot-like prints and followed them into the woods. They watched two large greyish furry figures, one pounding and shaking a thin tree and the other digging in snow, while noticing a foul odor. The creatures vocalized and ran off when they noticed the witnesses, who briefly tried to follow before giving up.

A woman took three children to play in a shallow river area in the evening. After hearing responsive whistling sounds and a tree being pushed down nearby, the group fled to their vehicle. The child who briefly lagged behind later described seeing a brown hair-covered creature walking toward him.

The witness was driving away from a private lake late at night when a small hairy biped ran across the road into the front of the car. The impact caused major front-end damage and left fur and blood, and the witness heard a thud as the animal hit the pavement. While slowing, the witness heard a loud roar from the treeline and later heard crashing and growling alongside the road while driving around the lake, feeling chased.

Two relatives were at a tree house in the evening when one noticed squawking birds, a shaking tree, and a long tail. After regrouping in the tree house, they fled toward a vehicle when a creature reportedly jumped from the tree and ran toward them. They reached the house highly frightened and later refused to return alone.

Two men checking trap lines on a quiet afternoon in early September 1998 encountered a hair-covered creature at about 100 feet. The creature watched them briefly before running uphill into the forest. The men described brown body hair, a low forehead, small dark eyes, huge hands, a bulky build and a foul odor, then removed their traps and did not return.

The creature followed them along the bank, ran ahead to a river bend, splashed and climbed the opposite bank, then later crossed an open clearing. Just past dusk while camping on a bow-hunting trip, the witness went to a portable toilet near camp, smelled a strong odor, and saw a white, wide-shouldered creature staring at him from a short distance. He screamed and waved a shovel, and the creature sprinted down into the ravine, breaking branches. The next day he and his companion found large footprints leading toward the ravine.
