The witness was scouting for a deer stand site in a swampy pine forest in the early afternoon. After hearing a distant splash and nearby snapping limbs, the witness saw a massive ape-like animal running away while grunting. The animal disappeared into the swamp, leaving a strong musk smell. The witness left, unsure what had been seen.

The witness was deer hunting on foot along a riverbank in the late afternoon when they noticed a musky odor and then saw a reddish figure crouched at the water's edge apparently drinking or scooping. The witness and a friend were driving slowly up a gravel mountain road at dusk toward a friend's house. They came around a curve and saw a tall, orange-haired biped standing by the roadside, which then crossed in front of the truck and ran up a steep bank with ease. The witness got out, smelled a foul odor and heard it crashing through brush uphill, and returned the next day to find no trace.

The two stared at each other before the witness ran to the road, hit a barbed-wire fence, and fled.

Three teenagers camping in a field behind a house smelled urine and heard something rushing through nearby woods. They fled toward the house as a tall hairy creature pursued them and later stood over their campfire throwing logs aside. The creature then circled the house and stepped onto the porch during the night before leaving by daylight, with broken branches found the next morning.
