During their first year in Lake Quinault, the guest and his wife repeatedly noticed a musky smell drifting through open windows around late evening and heard single loud bangs on the vacant house next door in the early morning. Floodlights would trigger but nothing was seen.

Three campers were sleeping at a secluded mountain lake camp when they were awakened just after 4 a.m. by a very loud, high-pitched scream from very close by, followed by shorter vocalizations. The reporter states they had not believed in Bigfoot before but became convinced by the experience.

After the witness returned to the road, both heard repeated very loud cracking snaps from a wooded hilltop about 100 yards away, spaced about 30 seconds apart, along with movement and bark-ripping sounds. The witness walked partway up the hill filming with a cell phone and captured at least one loud crack before returning to the truck and leaving.

After returning to the vehicle for a camera battery, the witness found a line of large tracks crossing a dirt berm that had not been there earlier. The witness and a companion were elk hunting off a forest road when they heard a loud sharp snap uphill interpreted as a large limb or small tree being broken. They scanned the hillside but saw no animal and heard nothing further. They were then struck by a nauseating putrid odor and felt an ominous urge to leave, so they left the area.

In April 2013 the guest took his teenage son camping at a just-opened campground off Highway 14 along the Columbia River. During a daytime walk they found an old large track, opened clam shells out of place, a fresh vine-maple twist tucked behind a fir, an 18-inch footprint beneath it, and several pushed or tossed trees. That night in camp they heard branch-breaking, felt the tarps pulled, heard splashing, felt vibration waves, and heard two wood knocks before leaving exhausted in the morning.

After noticing a foul litter-like odor, the witness heard a loud knock, whistles, and rustling, then had large rocks repeatedly thrown toward camp. The witness and a companion were camping at an isolated lake over a long weekend. On Saturday morning they began hearing very loud guttural scream-growls that seemed to warn them away from certain areas, including the path to the lake, and the sounds continued into Sunday. Overnight they heard cooking gear clanging and a heavy thump like logs dumped beside their trailer, but in the morning the gear was largely in place and no logs were found, and the companion also reported a strong putrid smell.

Two companions were camping overnight on a fishing trip near Sullivan Lake when they were awakened by a distant crash and a musty odor. A second, louder crash close to camp was followed by a grunt, and the narrator saw a tall gray-furred shape through the tent mesh that fled when lit by a flashlight. Both spent the rest of the night in the truck and left the area the next day.

The witness heard a branch snap and saw underbrush moving without seeing the source, then later found a large footprint near a caution-tape marker. The witness came to believe years later that a sasquatch had followed and protected them until they recrossed the fence to their property.

After a football game in 1979 the witness was with a group of high school children parked by an old dump. They heard something forcing its way through heavy brush toward the cars. Everyone panicked and drove away without seeing what made the noise.

The witness was camping with family near the Elwah River and was sitting outside after others went to sleep when a rock struck the tent twice. The family moved to their car, and the witness later stood outside in darkness sensing a very tall man-like presence nearby, hearing breathing, footsteps and snapping twigs and smelling a musky foul odor. After headlights showed nothing, the odor and sense of unease lifted and the family returned to the tent for the night before breaking camp the next day.

While serving on active duty and assigned to guard duty at a military base, the witness's father and others in his unit responded to a report of noises at a newly installed perimeter fence. They found several fence posts pulled from the ground and saw movement. They ordered whoever was there to show themselves and then fired, finding no blood or other result, and the unit was shipped out much earlier than originally scheduled.

The guest's mother attended a daytime gathering at a neighbor's house. The group smelled a foul odor and heard noises. The homeowner shut the kitchen window and said that thing regularly shows up looking through her window, acting annoyed rather than scared.
